Is a cool way to do it but honestly a muffler delete isn't very expensive if you just going to do the last box and then it will sound really really good , also make sure to go for a retune after deleting the muffler or drilling wholes in the box because now obviously there is going to be less back pressure.

you dont need to tune it the only thing that gives you back pressure is the catalytic converter so yeah your fine and tuning cost a bit of money (edit) back pressure is BS think of an engine as an air compressor you want it to pump as much air as it can efficiently so no back pressure would be pretty efficient.

@@blokebeershed7651 if you drill a few small wholes , or delete a box or do a full stright pipe one way or another you will have less restriction in the escape of those gases so normally if you getting rid of those gases quicker you would want a less restricted intake to bring in air quicker , in South Africa most people go for a full stright pipe from the headers right out the back with no cat and put a cold air intake or ram intake and then a slight retune , more fuel , more air and less restriction on the way out and in will make most cars feel alot more perky.

My only concern is that we (in the UK) have a legal emissions test and they stick a probe up the exhaust (ooer madam) and if there's a leak (which is what you've created), the equipment can detect the leak and you fail the test. I guess you could clamp something round the holes in the pipe to block off the leak using a jubilee clip and a section of a beer can that curves round the pipe?? :D

Hope you can answer my comment as soon as possible, I got a vw mk7 golf r with an evil energy muffler. It's not loud enough tho. How did you drill the holes behind the muffler? I can barely reach the pipe and what kind of drill did you use?

    • @LukesVlogs97

I used a dewalt drill. You should be able to reach the pipe before the exhaust, the golf is a fairly narrow car. Maybe try going from the side instead of the back. I hope this helps brother. Please consider subscribing I would really appreciate it! 🤙🏽
