I mean it's a way to make it a little louder I guess. I just cut the muffler off then stick a resonator with a cherry bomb. Its just easier and doesn't require me to ruin my stock exhaust because well. I may need it to pass the state check.

Is a cool way to do it but honestly a muffler delete isn't very expensive if you just going to do the last box and then it will sound really really good , also make sure to go for a retune after deleting the muffler or drilling wholes in the box because now obviously there is going to be less back pressure.
you dont need to tune it the only thing that gives you back pressure is the catalytic converter so yeah your fine and tuning cost a bit of money (edit) back pressure is BS think of an engine as an air compressor you want it to pump as much air as it can efficiently so no back pressure would be pretty efficient.
@@blokebeershed7651 if you drill a few small wholes , or delete a box or do a full stright pipe one way or another you will have less restriction in the escape of those gases so normally if you getting rid of those gases quicker you would want a less restricted intake to bring in air quicker , in South Africa most people go for a full stright pipe from the headers right out the back with no cat and put a cold air intake or ram intake and then a slight retune , more fuel , more air and less restriction on the way out and in will make most cars feel alot more perky.

Well the issues with that is running lean since the car was designed for resistance so no resistance at all will make it run lean and shoot flames but the problem with drilling holes is long turn burning shit under your car. And there’s no going back without buying a new exhaust
Hey i drilled 6 holes size 3/8 drill bit on the each exhaust total of 12 holes right before reaching the muffler! On a Audi A4 B9 and car turbo is spanking loud and better air flow than before!! Car is faster with the better air flow wow im surprised! No Bs
Muffler will rust, sitting in traffic you may get exhaust fumes inside the cabin, you’ll get droning on long trips, resale value has been diminished with each hole… - other than that, fabulous job 😂

What about Carbon Mono-oxide poisoning. It cause serious problem in body could be fatal for young children in car also adult. Reason I’m saying this is I have done research in internet and saw carbon poisoning but not sure could be muffler business propaganda. Any thought on that??
Those are the gases that are released from regular gas powered cars, wether I’m poking holes in the exhaust or not it’s still going to release those green house gases. Ok, I giggled when I heard the "after" version. My only concern is that we (in the UK) have a legal emissions test and they stick a probe up the exhaust (ooer madam) and if there's a leak (which is what you've created), the equipment can detect the leak and you fail the test. I guess you could clamp something round the holes in the pipe to block off the leak using a jubilee clip and a section of a beer can that curves round the pipe?? :D

I used a dewalt drill. You should be able to reach the pipe before the exhaust, the golf is a fairly narrow car. Maybe try going from the side instead of the back. I hope this helps brother. Please consider subscribing I would really appreciate it! 🤙🏽
I jus drilled 3 huge holes in my vaxhal insignea lol I don't even have a silencer box it's d smallest box. Put 3 holes behind that on d pipe and I hear no difference :( what did I do wrong I'm disappointed can u help me ??

no it will be fine, the only negative is that the car is louder. i talked to a mechanic and he said his exhaust is cut off right after the catalytic converter!
I believe Canada stopped doing annual emissions test. I haven’t had to do any of those things to my car recently so I can’t talk from experience. Maybe you can ask a mechanic before doing it! Hopefully this helps 🤙🏼

Yes do it in between youre catalytic converter but before you’re muffler jsut on the pipe and use a 3/8 bit

Oil doesn’t come out of the exhaust only fumes. Think of it like your lungs but for your car. The oil is blood

exhaust leaks which is exactly what he is doing, by drilling a hole it has created a leak, causes a decrease in power and also will continue to make the engine loose power until the leaks are fixed
I’ve talked to trust worthy mechanics and they said it’s perfectly fine! I’ve also bin driving the car for 3 years like that and I’m not dead. They can’t get in the cabin if it’s outside your car lol. Thanks for your opinion though, please consider subscribing I would really appreciate it❤️
