  • Features that impressed me:
    1.Brushless Motor
    2.All metal 2 Speed Gearbox
    3.Servicable Battery
Edit: After some use as a screw driver, I am quite impressed. First gear is perfectly adequate to use for screw driving (and has greater torque), the speed is better as in second gear it's too fast for screwdriving but obviously ideal for high speed drilling!

it depends on what your after in this price range, I believe almost all drills nowadays (Including DeWalt), is Chinese manufactured. That does not mean it is of poor quality. I have only used the drill I have (778) 18V to put together furniture and drill some plugs into concrete. I don't think you'll be disappointed. I have joiner/carpenter friends all say its the way to go. My drill came with a 3 year warranty just by registration, via the website. They do make you, make an account but you can turn off offers etc.

China is very big I wouldn't assume they are all coming out of the same 2 factories, unless they look identical it's safe to assume they have come from different manufacturers

@@MorganJoe In my experience with other equipment (musical mainly), certain manufacturers specialise in certain areas, probably only a few manufacturers are set up for and produce power tools for a handful of companies. To make a drill, you need a moulding and various electrical parts like triggers and Brushless motors.

@@delatronics3257 again China is absolutely massive it is not just 1-2 factories making the absolute insane quantity of drills the world sees, unless tools are really similar they have a high potential of not being made in the same factory, not to mention dewalt tools are manufactured in more than just China. Quite a few Asian countries, they also have American assembled tools with international parts from almost everywhere.

@@MorganJoe I will admit that my info could be wrong with regard to drills but for musical instruments there are not that many.
