This drone has me intrigued by it's unique 2 armed design and claimed 50 minute flight time. Will it perform on these claims? While there are a few shortcomings right out of the box, I'm excited to explore it more in future flight & range tests!

The Concept is great. Two bigger props are more efficent than 4 smaller ones.
But besides that this drone isn't competitive
there is no way i would waist money on that pile of rubbish
That update procedure is a major fail.
We are talking for $1,199.00 ffs!
Oh, I thought that the video was 33 minutes so that you could how in real-time how long it takes to acquire satellites. ;)
Other reviews I’ve seen from this, satellites take forever

The v copter is 1200 dollars usd that's crazy man and from reviews I've seen even the mavic air 2 is better
You can buy the nano plus for $400 dollars less and the camera is much better
Ok, the elephant in the room... This is categorically NOT a $1200.00 drone. PERIOD. It's 90's technology at 2020 prices. I am incredibly curious as to the range this will get but I am going to say it now, I am not expecting anything exceptional. I hope to be pleasantly surprised but I'm not holding my breath. I can't wait for the flight test and distance test. Should be interesting at the least! Great video as usual! Thanks!

Yeah that’s a dealbreaker, I’m not installing some security risk laden Chinese software on my computer. I need my computer to make a living! At least on my iPhone I know they can’t do anything dangerous through the App Store.

Yikes. Yeah no chance I would buy this with that super sketchy firmware update process. It may very well be just innocent incompetence, but it definitely doesn't inspire confidence. I'm hesitant enough letting DJI be on my phone

Good video, not impressed so far, whoever made this drone didn’t think it through very well.
If the camera is a one inch sensor, it may justify the price but the camera is like from 2016.
Droning is dead, the moment the FAA got their grubby corrupted hands on it.

Great review. I enjoy flying my V-Coptr, like others it's not something I needed, I believe I have enough to fly already. But its really fun to fly and every time I fly this I am still amazed at how quiet it is. Fly's very well and is something I fly every time I go out to fly.

Hey Dustin, I’m trying to get the VA to approve drones as part of therapy on mental health. I suffer from PTSD, anxiety, and depression along with a list of other issues and I’m a 100% permanent and total disabled through the VA. I have noticed that flying my drone and editing really helps keep my mind off my issues. So I got together with a few other veterans that suffer from similar mental health issues and with really good results. We weren’t flying anything amazing, just a cheaper drone. I need to find a way to get drone distributors to donate and maybe it can become a great therapy for many veterans or anybody suffering from mental illness. We don’t have any money and dji says they don’t do charity only straight profit. I tried to explain to them how this can turn into money for them with this program but they offered 10% or a $100 discount. I was just hoping for them to work out something to get this started but looks like it’s a bust as of now. Any help or ideas would be appreciated sir.

At that price its going to have to be impressive,,,,,,so far its very unimpressive, with no case for everything needed to fly it, the "landing gear" , and the way firmware updates have to be done, then add in $1200.00 for the price,,,, not for me!!!
for some, we pre ordered and paid a much better price. I still like flying the V-Coptr and I have had zero issues. Not a requirement to add the landing gear. Firmware is like any other of the drones we fly, always something different, once you download, and trust the download, everything goes smoothly. So my opinion is I like mine, price was half what they are asking now, and its still something that I really like to fly.

The flight test could be very quick video as one I watched took of and just went nuts and crashed straight in to the ground funniest thing ever lol 😁😊👍🇬🇧

Hey dustin nice review i got my vcoptr falcon last november it flies nice but due to our weather here in canada havent had time to get it out for a good flight test. I have done a few short flights i must say the video feed is awesome so far and the controls are very responsive and good. I did do a hover test and got around 44 min on it i am sure when flying it will be less. Looking forward to your flight review.
I honestly just want something that resembles the "Hunter Killers" from the terminator movies.
The idea and overall design behind the v copter is Awsome but the tech in it sucks especially for the price you pay for one the range is not great at all and the live feed cuts all the time and the camera isnt to great. Ken heron did a in depth review on this drone and the feed started to cut after around 1k ft. Cant wait to see your range test video

Drops out of the sky if you push the battery to it's limit. Hopefully they update for that soon. I informed the company.. luckily it was only a few get high over grass when it happened 🤔🍻

Wish the hat cam got it better. That zoom feature on the DJI action 2 cam messed it up when I reached up to start recording the landing 🧟♂️🍻

One question...Why?
It's amazing to me that the V-Copter is using such old technology to upload their software. I have an old Xiaomi mi quadcopter I purchased years ago that uploads automatically without using any tethering to a PC. I don't remember any other drone I have had other than a Hubsan, when I first left the "toy" drone market (looking back, I consider it a toy now) that required tethering to a PC. Pretty lame and the main reason I canceled my order.
I could have sworn you did a review on this before. Pretty sure I've seen this thing somewhere. Bummer about no imperial mode. Updates and GUI are a bit low tech. Looking forward to your next review of this. Mahalo
So far I'm not really impressed, especially with the problems you mentioned and it's $1200 dollar price point. Another point of contention and possible failure point are the servos and their gearing mechanisms, along with loss of potential thrust and stability with two motors instead of 4 like a traditional quadcopter design. If this came in a lot cheaper than the competition, say between $600-900 dollars I'd say it would be a viable competitor to the DJI Air 2S, but at it's current price point with limited app and camera options, no app to drone over the air updates, and it's lesser quality fit and finish, I'd personally stick with my DJI Air 2S fly more combo coming in around the same price point. I'm looking forward to your next flight video and range test of this model, maybe it's performance, flight time, gimbal and camera have a lot more to offer over the competition.
