Extended Play doesnt mean a long song. EPs were usually four songs on a 45 rpm disc or cd in the modern times. Four best songs off an album, or as an "album" (think Beatles UK MMT). Not one song. EPs pretty much faded out during the 60s and early 70s as far as vinyl though Im sure there are some still being produced during this vinyl surge. EPs also could be a band that either had only four songs to debut or not enough songs for an album. Ringo Starrs last "album" was an EP I believe (not that Id know the songs off of that pos)
An Ep is Extended Play, usually 4 to 6 songs but no more than 30 minutes verses an LP, Long Play usually 12 songs, considered a full album roughly and hour a single is one song usually 3-5 minutes, that came up with the 3-5 minute rule because the record industry assumed that was the attention span of a normal listner.
This is not an EP, and was never referred to by anyone as an EP. This is a Single. EP's do not last a mere 8 minutes, with two songs featured on them. The only EP released by Satan is Into The Future; circa 1986. Also, this Single was released in 1982, not 1981.
There are in fact EPs that are really short like Nervous Breakdown by Black Flag and most of Discharge’s EPs

Old Iron Maiden has the bass mixed high - as did pretty much everything else back in the day. For more modern stuff you could try Orange Goblin, it's a bit more stoner but still heavy.
