There is something to be said for being able to get into a car you've never driven, and being able to operate it. Tesla doesn't seem to put much weight into intuitive controls for drivers or passengers. Whether it's for cost saving or "minimalism" it makes it harder to win over non-early adopters, and probably causes safety issues.
You keep saying putting smaller wheels on gives you more range. All you are doing is making your speedo incorrect which will show more miles than you have actually travelled. If it was that easy to increase the range manufacturers would have done it already!
You can change wheel size without changing overall tire height, which wouldn't throw off the speedo. Smaller, lighter, more aerodynamic rims absolutely will increase range vs heavy 20" wheels with an open design (which do show up on EVs regularly despite the efficiency penalty).

I would have like to have no stork . That way, I wouldn't have accidentally broken it while sitting in. Sure, it's an unusual accident, but still. Also, they tend to wear over the years.
It's disappointing that Tesla removed the blinker and drive selector stalks. I think Tesla removed the stalks to push owners into taking up the FSD option. With FSD there's probably no need for the stalks. I am one of those who have waited for the Model Y release, but if Telsa has gone too minimalist, then my alternative is Zeekr 7X
Sam, question from a curious American. Do you call yourself Electric Viking because you are of Scandinavian descent. I've been to Norway so you'd fit in there. And if true do you know Anna Torv?
Why stop at wanting what the model 3 got? I want the cyber truck tech to trickle down. Like 48v and rear wheel steering. Also hopefully gets 500 mile range and sign me up.
Do you think that Tesla will get selfplug-in, bumper plug-in v2g ? Battery topped up or trading electricity with home or grid ? Nuclear electricity needs constant steady demand. As we know home demand fluctuates 247. Rooftop PV needs a bigger battery 247. Battery is perfect for both as home demand fluctuations is different to both supply. Millions and millions and millions of customers home and vehicles. All vehicles are parked 23hrs every day, even school buses in the USA.
Don't mind about the gear selector on the screen. If Sam got used to the indicators on the wheel in two days, I'm sure will be okay for me. It's possible to buy an aftermarket indicator kit stalk for people that think they really need it.
@@spampeg I know the new 3 doesn’t have them and having done over 100k miles ( not km ) in my 3 I am kinda used to them, stupid idea only Americans would come up with !

You would think customer feed back sends a message where Kia and BYD etc have info clusters in front of steering wheel. This is the downside of having 100,000 Tesla employees but only ONE massive ego, I mean ONLY Musk aesthetic rules. Musk stubbornly refused to meet customer demand for steering wheel area display Ignores customers clearly want it. But then, that taxi thing instead of it being both a 4 seater Model 3 with steering wheel and a taxi … oh Edsel will Musk learn nothing unless he dreamt it up. 😢
Honestly, right now I'd wait about another month and pounce on the inventory Model Y's. They are offering the RWD LR with 320 mi of range right now for under $35K USD. (that is minus the tax credit...) They will need to dump these things prior to the new 'refresh' coming out. Yes, you might get a slightly smoother ride in the refresh and the kids will get a screen, but is it worth paying $10K more? I guess that's up to the buyer...

The old Model Y looked better. This one looks boring. I was hoping that Tesla would follow the Highlander's design language and style.
One Juniper prototype was spotted in Spain this month so all factories will switch at the time.
does the Y have a tow bar option
I'd have the new Kia EV6 over the MAGA Y all day long. V2L, 360 degree camera and 360kw charging speed!
What happens if you wanna turn on your indicator mid round about. Seems like a pain in the ass having buttons.
I would have like to have no stork . That way, I wouldn't have accidentally broken it while sitting in. Sure, it's an unusual accident, but still. Also, they tend to wear over the years.
the only EV i would buy is Tesla, hard to pass up 0 APR on 2024 model Y but looks like i will.
The XPENG needs to go, jumped into so many Ubers in China that we’re Xpeng G6 and frankly I can’t stand them
does your new xpeng have real leather seats?
It's disappointing that Tesla removed the blinker and drive selector stalks.
I think Tesla removed the stalks to push owners into taking up the FSD option.
With FSD there's probably no need for the stalks.
I am one of those who have waited for the Model Y release, but if Telsa has gone too minimalist, then my alternative is Zeekr 7X
they removed the stalks to save money. they did what everyone wanted, lowered the price.
Looks good, but fog lights will/should be integrated within the main front lights.
I believe the “fog” lights are indeed the main headlights with the light bar being merely aesthetic.
I genuinely think xAI66x will be the breakthrough for this run
Tesla needs new models, at least in China. Zeekr has already 7 models, tesla just 4. Tesla needs MPV and big SUV, also small car like model 2
Bring back the stalks!
Front looks good, back doesn't quite look right
Will it have stalks? Will the ride be acceptable , will the bloody windscreen wipers work ?
No stalks. The new 3 doesn't have them either.
@@spampeg I know the new 3 doesn’t have them and having done over 100k miles ( not km ) in my 3 I am kinda used to them, stupid idea only Americans would come up with !
No stalks, no buy
The way Tesla keeps trickling-out design changes, it seems like they might be risking an Osborne Effect (would not be good for them).
400m/600km range should be standard RWD.
Plus cheaper.
Customers / owners of Tesla model 3 (and I would too) swap out DASH replace with one having cluster in front of steering wheel for small cost £500 odd. Range of alternatives including HUD. You would think customer feed back sends a message where Kia and BYD etc have info clusters in front of steering wheel. This is the downside of having 100,000 Tesla employees but only ONE massive ego, I mean ONLY Musk aesthetic rules. Musk stubbornly refused to meet customer demand for steering wheel area display
Ignores customers clearly want it. But then, that taxi thing instead of it being both a 4 seater Model 3 with steering wheel and a taxi … oh Edsel will Musk learn nothing unless he dreamt it up. 😢
I'll buy but not b4 HW5 ships. When's that?
Does it have 7 seats?
Honestly, right now I'd wait about another month and pounce on the inventory Model Y's. They are offering the RWD LR with 320 mi of range right now for under $35K USD. (that is minus the tax credit...) They will need to dump these things prior to the new 'refresh' coming out.
Yes, you might get a slightly smoother ride in the refresh and the kids will get a screen, but is it worth paying $10K more? I guess that's up to the buyer...
comparing model y and xpeng.. kinda dumb when you realize they both have there strenght points.. like vehicile to grid option that the xpeng lacks. with solar thats a must in 1 year.
As if they would change the headlights from the new model 3. don’t they want similar parts n stuff
Juniper was spotted in Spain
I think it will look nice in the right colour, maybe a silver or black. But in white it will look hideous like the current design.
I solely believe xAI66x will do 20x after its launch price, the hype is high and its community are not relenting.
👍👍
If they don’t have the shenxing battery I am not buying it. Canada should get the Chinese version
5:13 that’s because you don’t drive in Europe. Why stop there with minimalism? Let’s remove indicators all together, it’s not like Tesla owners can drive anyway, they more like a passengers.
The old Model Y is better than your Xpeng. You don’t have FSD! You don’t have Tesla superchargers, etc.
It may not come to the USA in that form, though. The supposedly new headlamp design may not meet US FMVSS 108 regulations.
Hey Sam, is it true what they say? Once you drive right-side, you don't want to go back to the left-side!
Zeekr 7X will be better, faster charging, looks better, refrigerator and will cost lesser
Now TMY is indistinguishable from millions of same-faced Chinese EVs on the road
if a car doesn't have lightbars then it is old fashioned.
shame, great car but no turning indic storks no radar back to the BYD
How much do you get paid by Tesla ?
I have a 24 M3P and stalks are annoying to me now.
probably only a funnel web. it will buff out
Without stalks 😢😢
One feature of the Juniper makes it a hard pass for me. Elon Musk.
Why do they not put the monitors on the back of the seats. No one wants to watch something at there knee caps 😅 I would have a neck ache 😣
Like could they not just do normal air controls there or something and put the monitors behind the seats 💺
