  • Welcome to the Northwoods of Wisconsin. This video is a tour of our off grid cabin showing and explaining what we have accomplished in the last two years. Thanks for joining us. Enjoy the video.
In the video I referred to a smart charger That could be used for waking up lithium smart batteries, Here is a link to the charger that I use on my 24 V system.

He and his great family share their real lives with all of us and the world is definitely a better place for them sharing with us ! Successes and failures from experiments with everything from solar to wells and everything else anyone could have questions about ! Definitely worth subscribing to this great channel ! @@karlsoffthegrid1378 i watched a few off grid bathhouse videos. It does seem most are going with a rain water collection tub. There are some that are pumping out of a lake transporting the tub to a 2nd collection tub and putting chlorine or something to clean the water. Since you have lake access i think pumping it out if the lake into one of the tubs the hauling it back to the bathhouse so you don’t have to use your well. Looks like everything there using is propane instant hot water. I hope you can use some of there ideas on RUclips. Should be a fun build.

Cabins looking great! Was up at my cabin last week they had a big melt off. Still had a foot of wet slushy snow in the driveway ended up getting my plow truck buried. Big storm coming in this week I'm contemplating just waiting on the driveway until spring. The joys of having a cabin and not being able to be there all the time haha. Oh well all is good. I got some measurements for my kitchen sink cabinets and upper cupboards I'm going to make them myself here at my house then transport them up. At least I can get a few things accomplished before spring. Then it's on to building a shed for my 4 wheeler and building a screened in porch for the front of the cabin. Cheers!

A year and a half ago when we were talking about your outhouse, I told you about people in Alaska that use a 2 inch thick piece of Styrofoam that they cut the hole in and just carry it out to the outhouse with them so it’s not so cold to sit on. You said you were going to try that because you thought it was a great idea.

It’s hard to leave a warm bed and have to walk out in the frigid weather.
