So happy to see you got a laser! I have the Ortur LaserMaster 2 and hope to upgrade to the 3 after Christmas. I can’t wait to see how you incorporate it into your thrift flips. I have bought up a ton of cutting boards over the last few months at thrift stores just so I can engrave and sell them! Once you get started with it big time you will not want to quit! I am selling a lot of wooden keychains right now and also engraving and selling shot glasses. I am completely overwhelmed with all the ideas that I have though! Like you said, the possibilities are endless with a laser engraver. Have fun and stay safe.
Oh my goodness!! I have so many ideas, I thought my mind was going to explode!! And then I designed this amazing Treats for Santa design and went to engrave it on a cutting board and it only engraved about 20% and then stalled. I could not figure out what was going on. It kept staying in one spot and burning it. I don't know what the issue is. I just haven't had time to try to figure out what is going on with it. I've been wanting to get myself one but, the ones I have been looking at are way out of my price range as well. But, I am going to have to check this company to get myself an laser engraver.
Well hold off a bit, I am going to be reviewing another laser soon. I will be comparing the two. They are about the same price but one comes with everything! Air assist and the rotary roller. I was looking at one that was way out of my price range too! LOL I am so glad I didn't go ahead and buy it. Thank you so much for watching! 🥰
Hey, I’m new to lasers (haven’t assembled it yet 😄). I’ve been reading about safety and I was a little concerned to see visible blue light with the glasses over the camera, and then later on not everyone was wearing glasses. Is that safe? I purchased my own glasses ahead of time with the 455 Wavelength and a high OD (7). I noticed the glasses my laser came with don’t have the OD etc. labeled on them, and there was no documentation so I don’t know what they’re rated for, at least they’re the right color orange lol. I’m preparing for a review myself so I’m learning from others.
I am completely new to the laser myself. My husband purchased another pair because we only had the one pair that came with it. I did not look at the rating to be honest. As far as not wearing them, I mean everyone knows not to look at the laser light. However, there is an orange shield that also covers the laser, but you can clearly see the blue light. I would just say be safe and do what is best for you and don't look directly at the light. Thank you so much and thank you for watching! 🥰
Your video is excellent and down to earth. My main concern is the ease of use with Lightburn software. I’ve seen several videos and it looks complicated. I’m also wondering if the machine can be operated using an iPad Pro. Thanks for posting.
Hi Bill! Yes you can use the laser with you iPad Pro. you just need internet. I watched a few videos on how to use Lightburn and it was not that difficult. The hardest part for me is how to find center on my projects. But a grid will make that easier. The Ortur Laser is great first laser but my favorite of this type of laser, now that I have three different ones is the Atzer laser. I have a video on each one. They are all a little different. But the Atzer is better built and easier to use. That is just my opinion.
@@TheRustedWillow Thanks for your reply. I plan on getting the Ortur 3 after watching many videos. I plan on incorporating laser engraving with my printing business. I mainly edit and print select photos for people who want something a bit different. Once again thanks for the great video and your reply.
