Great video. Such a cool bike. What do you think the Factory version will bring? Another 10-15bhp? That would make a big difference coming out of those corners.
Honda CBR650R has 95 bhp, weighs 207 kg and it’s top speed is 150 mph. It’s a bit disappointing for a 660cc, 100 bhp and 183 kg sport bike (I know they have different numbers of cylinders). But still ok, I will never see 125 mph (circa 200 kph) on my dash. I’m still thinking of getting RS660 mostly because of the look and electronics. And Aprilia is a cool brand.
I should clarify, the RS 660 was still PULLING before I had to brake for the turn. With more real estate, I could easily surpass 150mph on this bike. Easy. And a smaller rider would go even faster.
Firstly it's twin and that makes a world of difference. Second, it's probably rev limited due to the fact that it's a twin. Still is the most powerful twin per CC out there right now.

My experience is Apes are accurate out of the box. My 2016 Tuono is always on the money when going past a radar trailer. Of the other Aprilia owners I know they say theirs are accurate too.
If you're used to 150+ ho and 80+ Torque, you're going to miss it. BUT, the RS 660 is a very fun bike that handles very well with the best electronics.
I'm thinking about getting the rs660 or the zx6r similarly priced in my country. do you think there would be a massive gap in performance between those 2 bikes?
Different class of bike. The RS 660 is a more comfortable bike yet still performs really well whether it's on the track or the street. It is much more user friendly than the ZX6R and much better electronics. But the ZX6R is a little faster if you have the skill.
The ZX6R has a much smoother engine (4 cylinder vs parallel twin), 30% more horsepower and a more racey riding position. If you like riding a sports bike on twisty roads, the clip on bars of the ZX6R are much better. The RS660 has higher bars. If you aren't used to sports bikes you'll probably be fine with them, but the high bars drive me nuts. I haven't ridden an RS660, but I wouldn't even contemplate swapping my 2019 ZX6R for one. Personally, I hate parallel twins. They sound rough and don't rev. Yuck. Big V twins all day long, but little parallel twins, no thanks.
You needed to be coming out of the kink that leads to the back straight in 1st gear or else you’re sacrificing all your drive in a 600 only the 1000s come out of there in 2 because they have the torque for it
Really ? That's surprising. I think I was in the wrong gears in the entire section before that then. Probably the entire lap! 😆. It wasy second time there over a couple years. Looking forward to going back asap.
From purely a usable point of view, the parallel twin makes it much easier to service and simpler to construct, and since it's half of the RSV4 engine, they can match some of the characteristics with the 270 degree crank. I do agree that a V twin would have been awesome, but the parallel twin in this bike seems to possibly be the best one ever made.

Hey mate I'm coming of a mt10 will I get bored of this bike revving the shit out of it ?
If you're used to 150+ ho and 80+ Torque, you're going to miss it.
BUT, the RS 660 is a very fun bike that handles very well with the best electronics.
@@Victor_Moto the main thing I love is the looks and with a full system it sounds like a race bike
@@ktm-kr9mm It's a very fun bike.
@@MyMednas And yet this parallel twin sounds better than the four cylinder ZX6R...
I have a 2022 zx6r my top speed on it was 169 mph.
How fast is it from 0 - 60? 😊
Salut , que pensse tu comparer a une r6 2018 ou une zx6r ? Tu penses que c est pareille ou mieux vaut prendre une autre moto ? Merci
Vous ne devez pas comparer le RS 660 au R6 ou au ZX6R. Catégorie différente. Cela dépend de ce que vous recherchez.
I really want to know if it is possible to elbow down this machine with the high steering and low footrest
I'm sure it's possible but easier on racier ergonomics like the RSV4.
you can elbow down a Tuono so....
It's an R6 as it's not a cross-plane sound and the revs are too high for an R1 IMHO!
There were a couple track prepped R6's that were flying.
Hmm that was impressive for the 100% stock bike
I thought so. Can't wait for our shop RS 660 to build.
Good power
Yes! Lots of grunt in this 660 twin.
@@Victor_Moto yah bro i saw your video on the 1100 Aprilia and i thing you actually did come out of there in 1st gear so you got it 👍🏽
@@chriswarner8696 thanks ! Scary bump there though.
I wish aprilia had made this V-twin.
Very happy with this parallel twin power delivery and it's sound!
@@Victor_Moto Still it carries very respectable corner speed.
@@ampm9771 I'll post a video of a pro racer who past me on a stock RS 660. Dude was flying through the esses.
That's the Ducati v2 dude
From purely a usable point of view, the parallel twin makes it much easier to service and simpler to construct, and since it's half of the RSV4 engine, they can match some of the characteristics with the 270 degree crank. I do agree that a V twin would have been awesome, but the parallel twin in this bike seems to possibly be the best one ever made.
how tall are you? Do u think i will be find with beeing 6.2 tall on this bike?
We're the same height. You'll love it.
How are the vibrations?
Non issue. Didn't notice any vibration.
what is the price of rs 660 aprillai ?
In the USA, $11,299.
That brake fluid is looking milky:)
Almond milky. ;)
0-60 would probably be around 4.3 if you're lucky.. hence the reason they're not doing the 0-60 test
I'll give it a shot next time we're at the track which is coming up real soon. I'll post the video.
@@Victor_Moto The is no Victor on that Moto..
@@wescoast6903 huh ?
@@Victor_Moto look at it this way;
Flash the ecu, put a power commander, full exhaust, fender eliminator, -1 +2, racing fairings, slicks etc etc and what do you have?
Nothing much because the core of the bike, the shit engine sucks!!!
Not only that, but the aftermarket will suffer since no one will bother spending money to improve the bikes performance..
So, dude shows up at bikes and coffee on that thing and others will simply see them as a douche with a poser bike..
Putting lipstick on a pig accomplishes nothing...
Btw: 2001 TT600 can be bought for 1000~1500... better to buy 9 of them then the RS660... you'll at least keep up with the modern sportbikes and you'll do it in comfortable bliss!!
Try one, those thing are comfy and fast!

I bet Aprilia Racing will offer a kit to get that.

What about the Ninja 650 and CBR650? Don't compare the RS 660 to the R6.
Hey any vibrations or mirrors not doing there job properly.
Ps. Great video ☺️ New sub 👍
Thank you, Ankush! I didn't notice any vibration concerns at all during this ride at the track nor during my street ride from a few weeks ago. See that video here if you haven't already: ruclips.net/video/NsY4fxfBiDo/видео.html

It's a 'pretty, but slow bike that can't keep up with the 600s from 15 years ago...
Buy a mid 2000s R6, and with the money saved, buy a second one just like it for parts.. it will cost you less than 10000 for both, including oil, filters, tires, damper, sliders and a decent racing suit with helmet..
There you go.. a flop from aprilia trying to cash in on the discontinuation of the middleweight sport bike area with an inferior product..
It's 'pretty' though, and pretty posers are always left feeling ashamed when real bikes costing 1/4 the price can rip them an new asswhole on the streets and the track!
As soon as someone starts comparing the RS660 to R6's, CBR600RR's, etc., that's where I stop reading. Different class.
@@Victor_Moto Not true... the 600cc middleweight class is being fazed out.. Cbr600rr and the R6 are both gone... kawi makes the 636 and I bet suzuki will downgrade their class next year since you can still buy 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 gsxr600s new at dealerships for very cheap!
The bullshit cbr600f, aprilia crap 660 is the new middleweight class..
