Tried it today and it turned out superb I wanted to make chocolate icecream and no condensed milk was available in my area so I tried this recipe and I must say this recipe was very easy and tastes amazing

For anyone's wondering, I got a yield of 278 grams from half liter full fat milk and half cup of sugar with mild yellow color i.e not heavily reduced. The baking soda didn't do anything for me. Used a gas burner on high for 13 mins and turned off.
Most of the homemade icecream videos call for 300 grams of condensed milk for a 1 liter yield. So it's perfect.

I just made it with the exact same amounts you mentioned. Tbh I thought it'll fail through the 1st 15 mins of making it cause it didn't get any step to creamy but kept trying for more 5 mins until all of a sudden it thickened and really so good. Thank you so much❤❤

This recipe is fantabulous! I can't explain how much I loved it! I had a doubt while I was still making it because the foam created due to baking soda wasn't lowering, but then I let it cook for a few minutes more and it showed a beautiful creamy texture, the more it cooled down, the more Amazing it looked and tasted too, thanks for this recipe 🙌 never gonna buy condensed milk from the market, only homemade 💖
