- We purchased a Nikon Z 8 for our business to be a "B" camera for our video productions. The good news is that it is a powerhouse camera, just like the Nikon Z 9. In this video, I open the box and get the camera out to see it first hand and point out some of the most notable differences. I also share why we bought the camera, as well as why I think Nikon did a good thing by creating this camera in the way that they did.

Thanks for the unboxing video. I just got my z-8 two days ago and I already like some of the features. Thanks again.
That's awesome! Do you have any questions about it?
Congrats brother!!! Rock n Roll!!!!
Thanks Vahagn! I appreciate it. Looking forward to putting it through the paces!
Nice unboxing video. Use to use the Nikon D850 for the longest time. So glad they remained that camera in the z8.
Thanks! Nikon keeping a standard of high quality.
Thx for posting this video. I just ordered the Z8, and wasn't sure if it came with a charger. Your unboxing answered my question. Take Care!
Absolutely! Glad I could be helpful!
QUESTION. My Z8 did not have a vinyl scratch cover on the TOP LCD SCREEN, but it did have one covering the REAR LCD SCREEN. Is that how your Z8 came?
Yes. Same with my Z9. I don't believe they ship with a cover on the top LCD screen
Is that new? Why the box no seal?
It was new. None of my bodies or lenses have ever had seals. Do yours?
@@AaronSpieler Nikon does sealing sticker in China. Not sure why they don’t in the US? Without sealing, hard for customer to identify the camera is completely new or someone used/returned.

The very first comment you should have made is regarding how the Z8 feels in your hands, ie does it feel plasticky?; or does it feel solid?.
It feels solid. I'm used to the Z 9, so of course it isn't as beefy as that, but I think that is a pro for most people and not a con. All of my fingers fit on the grip and it has the same build components as the Z 9 on the outside. Pretty solid to me!
@@AaronSpieler Thank you for replying
I’ve been loving using my Z8 lately 🫡
Looking forward to putting it through the paces! Anything you have learned about it that you would want to share?
Does your Z8 feel plasticky?; or does it feel solid like a semi pro DSLR?
