      I certainly can't disagree with that!

      @@Watch-Crazy I'm a bit affraid of vintage watches in modern times so I got myself that reborn Timor heritage field and I gotta say it's a hell of a watch. It could easly be a part of two watch collection. The other one would be something with >=200 WR and with a "grab&go complication" (;

      @@p5ychonaut that's certainly fair enough, very cool either way, the longines version is also very cool... That would be the ultimate 👍🏼

      @@Watch-Crazy Yeah but Longines went nuts with their prices. Who doesn't to be honest.

      @@p5ychonaut Agreed, the luxury watch marketplace is very overheated.

      It's an awesome piece, I've only been lucky enough to try 3 of the 12 so far, and of those I would have to agree with you! 👍🏼

    Cool video, except they weren’t named the Dirty Dozen until after the movie came out in 1967. And there’s very little evidence they were ever used on the battlefield.

      Yes, the account in this video of the origin of the name Dirty Dozen for these watches reminds me of the adage "Never let the truth stand in the way of a good story."

      Thank you! You know what, you're very likely right about the name! They were definitely issued but only for a year or two from 1944, the chap who loaned me this watch recently sold another from his private collection which was engraved on the case back with the officers details. So I assume some were definitely used in battle.

      I will happily take that! Though I should do more research in future!
