I knew that West Side Story was going to be #1! That movie has some great dancing scenes
The dance choreography in both are truly memorable. Though the ‘61 has the best with OG choreographer Jerome Robbins working directly with the team; however the 2021 film has the best dance set-piece for “America” by taking to the streets and I do love the slow escalation to frantic in “Cool”
Everything from the original version of West Side Story!!! This is my all time favorite movie since I was a child! My kid's favorites too. They use to call the movie , The Cool Boys movie.😆
Not even a mention of Rich Man's Frug from Sweet Charity? This should be there before any of the other Fosse numbers.

I love the choreography in that song. Plus the score sets the pacing from slow and measured to eventually ascending into a frenzy of adrenaline
I for sure love “Another Day of Sun” from La La Land The flamenco dancing is super cool, and when they all get on top of the cars… I also want to give a shout out to “The Dance at the Gym” in West Side Story! The battements (high kicks) are SOO AMAZING! It’s kind of like ballet and jazz combined.. Especially when Justing Peck choreographed it.
Suggested additions: Chicago “Cell Block Tango” and “The Mask” Jim Carrey & Cameron Diaz’s swing dance scene. 🎬
Any of the dance sequences in Sweet Charity.
A couple that should have gotten an honorable mention or at least made the list…. Rich Man’s Frug from Sweet Charity and A Lot Of Livin’ To Do with Ann-Margret from Bye Bye Birdie
Tommy Rall was the greatest dancer in any genre. He is highly underrated. Even in a dance with Fosse, I am always drawn to the magnificent Tommy Rall.
Another Day of Sun was done in one take, one camera no editing. Chazell speaks about the challenges of the number and how if he knew how difficult it would be, he may not have attempted the feat.
