    Cyclic sighing consists of taking a two-part deep inhale and a long exhale. Research has shown that practicing this breathing technique can bring an increase in positive affect and psychological relief.
    Let’s try cyclic sighing:
    Begin in a relaxed yet alert position. Your eyes can be open or closed
    Exhale fully
    Breath in through your nose
    When your lungs feel full, take another, shorter inhale through the nose to fully inflate your lungs
    Exhale slowly
    Continue breathing this way for up to 5 minutes
