It's a blessing learning from this channel. I've always thought the y that company u sound only exist in British accent. This is so precise and mind opening. My love from NIGERIA 💞
Thanks Teacher for your great Work.... Continue help us to improve our English skills.... Watching and learning from Indonesia 🇮🇩.... Tha KS a lot Teacher.... I pray for you... May God continues to grant His blessings upon you so you always able to help us your students around the world...🙏🙏
This isn’t British she’s talking about American English In British it’s always with the y sound I think. Americans don’t speak the Word during, dude or Tuesday with a y sound
You definitely should make a video on when the letter Y can be either a vowel or a consonant cause depending on which word the letter Y shows up, it can be pronounced different ways acting like a vowel or a consont. shY , babY, mYth , mYRtle , martYR , Yellow, Yolk, bUY , bOY, grAY , kEY.
just a question: whether it's wrong when we pronounce 'ju:' but not 'jə' in an unstressed syllable?? 'regjulə not jə, 'popjulə not jə ans so on is it wrong or???? thnaks ahead
Wow! What an important and well-elaborated lesson! Now I'm mad at my native-English-speaker friends who never corrected me or commented about it! I owe you one!
Miss keenyn I don't know why you're so underrated. You should have millions of subscribers. By the way I really love your energy and clear english pronunciation.
I would say that at least in British English in words like "accumulate" we may say "u (yu)" after m as well as shwa though learners may benefit by pronouncing it with shwa as it's the less obvious way which may be hard to understand if unaware of.
How about consonant D? For the word dude, it’s seem like sound diu ? Is that correct. Anyway thanks for your helpful video, really hit my spot 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
I don’t agree with ‘nu’ as ‘nyoo’. It actually gives the ‘oo’ as in nuance, nude, nuke. The word menu is a 2 syllable word and ‘u’ itself is a syllable, this is the reason why it is yoo not oo, MEN-yoo
Hey!my Honey! my Sweet ❤️ heart! My most dearest dream girl! Ur style of the American english just killings me! I just love you! I mean endless unconditional love from my inner soul I mean inner heart to my most dearest dream girl who is the really queen of the Heaven I mean You....!
This is called palatalization, and I hear native speakers do that with other letters in stressed syllables, like "d" in "endure" (which sounds like "injure" but with the stress on the second syllable).
So smart and so pretty! I´ve been instructed by a lot of your classes...and English has been in my life for over 34 years!! I have a SCHOOL in Brazil. Come visit Brazil sometime!
As an aside, it happens after 't' and 'd' too in British English as in due, tube, tune, stupid etc., however, in most-if not all-American accents, the Y in that position has been lost.
Oh OMG ! I don't know English!!!! I mispronounced the words with unstressed u with schwa sound( ya) like popular, particular, etc How embarrassment! Thanks a bunch ‼️ ❤️ On time to correct me. Thanks again for such important lesson.
In my fifty years in the United States, I have never had such a lovely teacher like Keenyn Rhodes. She is adorable, besides being an excellent pronunciation teacher. Yes, I'm in love with her. So what? Keenyn, have a happy and healthy New Year 2022!!!
Hi Keenyn nice to see you You have a beautiful smile I really love your channel You're awesome Thanks a lot for your support Have a great wednesday my dear teacher😉🇧🇷 Take care
Dear Keenyn, thank you for your extremely helpful videos! Could you please upload another version of this video that does not have the background music? The music makes it harder to listen to your voice. Thank you so much!
Your lessons are really amazing, I had not noticed this detail, definitely only an excellent pronunciation teacher realizes the common mistakes of non-native English speakers, thank you very much
Keenyn, you are not one of the best, but THE BEST teacher I’ve ever encountered, in person or virtual. You are the number one! I do really mean it. I have been learning a lot from you and I can see (actually hear) nowadays that my pronunciation skills have been improving greatly. You are amazing. Thanks 🙏🏻 so much!

❤❤ I love you my teacher beatiful. ❤❤
You mentioned only six consonants, but it happens after many: after H, M, N, F, B, V, K, L, T & D (British)
This isn’t British she’s talking about American English
In British it’s always with the y sound I think. Americans don’t speak the Word during, dude or Tuesday with a y sound
Thanks! Maybe make a video on phrases: figure it out, figured?
This is fabulous information!!!
Thanks alot Keenyn!💜💜💜

7:34 Hello, is the letter R in ( particular ) silent . i can't hear it.
It seems that when one loosens the speech control strap a little, the right pronunciation comes naturally. Thank you for the tips!

I’m not sure it’s so clear in American English either. I think either way is acceptable.
How about consonant D? For the word dude, it’s seem like sound diu ? Is that correct.
Anyway thanks for your helpful video, really hit my spot 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️
