    Hi Keenyn, This's great. I have watched lot of your videos and learned a lot from them. Your videos sound more natural and American to me more than others , and also your body language and gestures are more natural and genuine to me ,compared to other videos. I actually noticed the " hidden Y" in the word " figure " , by just watching an earlier video of yours. I was pronouncing it as " Fig- urr" and was able to correct it my self by noticing how you pronounced it. Thank you very much and keep more great content flowing in, as always :)

    In ANEURYSM, is it the position of the tongue when saying the N that adds the intrusive Y? Likewise in the word FRANCE, FRAN(t)CE, it’s the N that produces the T sound due to the position of the tip of the tongue touching the alveolar ridge.

    Hi could u help me with this expression " give him a piece of my mind" what is it thx

    • @ClearEnglishCorner
      @ClearEnglishCorner  2 года назад

      Hi Majid! To "give him a piece of my mind" means to speak to someone angrily to express disagreement or dissatisfaction. For example, when I was little there was a man who used to go speeding through our neighborhood in his sporty car. He was going WAY too fast for a suburban area where kids were outside playing all the time. It used to infuriate my dad, and he would yell at the man as he sped by to "slow down!" Finally, my dad had had enough, and he ran after the man in the car. When the man pulled into his driveway and parked, my dad "gave him a piece of his mind."
      The man stopped speeding through the neighborhood after that. I will never forget it! :)

  • @UpNfamish2
    @UpNfamish2 Год назад

    First, there are no hidden sound in all these words. In “curious”, the first u is the long u-“yu” a consonant+vowel sound. You spoke it correctly. In “priority “, your hidden y is simple your mistaken gliding from “ai” to “o”(the “all” vowel)- you should make a clean “ai” sound before sounding the “o”- lazy mistake n sound terrible. In “ creative “, you spoke it correctly without your hidden ya sound. Why ? Answer, you made this up entirely. In “failure “ , you spoke it correctly as the u that follows the “l” is spoken as y as in William. In “ influential “, you spoke it correctly without the hidden w as you indicated. Again, you are faking this rule. In “ graduate “ , you spoke it correctly for the “du” as “j-schwa” n ”weit” ;the long a diphthong. Please get serious to study the correct English pronunciation in any English department n not making up pronunciation rules by yourself
