Big thank you to everyone commenting and showing love to this incredible historic structure! PSA: If you are a local and know where this church is, please do not reveal its name and location in the comments. I want to document its beauty as it still exists. However, historic and abandoned locations which get revealed publicly online often get looted, scrapped, and vandalized. I want to display the beauty of this church while protecting it from damage. Thank you for coming to our channel and for appreciating the grandeur of historic American architecture. Have a great day!
When I was a child they gave out fans every Sunday from April through September. No AC. I am almost 70. I would love to turn that church into a huge home.
I've never seen a church where the services were held in the upstairs! I bet it got hot up there. Looks like it's still being used almost. This Church could be fixed up. I hope some preacher can adopt it and bring God back into this lovely chapel.
Very beautiful, No dust, no spider webs, very clean. I remember those fans in church when I was young. I'm a 60 year old black women. Fans brought back memories.
I'm in coal country myself that's an awesome find . It still looks really good inside. And I have never seen the church upstairs or were you in a basement like fellowship hall etc down there. And fans aka no AC lol
The Spirit still lives in this place, it's heart still beats. How could anybody abandon it? It's a Colored Church and so a Temple of Love rather than one of power and fear and greed. It probably was once at the center of a Colored community, now gone away. In a way, it's a tombstone for what once was, a belief in God that has become old fashioned. I hope it stands till it's People return, it looks like a place the People need, where People can feel the Love of God and the Love and respect of their Friends.
Omgosh that is such a pretty place. I was surprised by the scenery looks dry but still picturesque Wish we had places like this in Australia ready for an explore. stay safe.
We talked to a local who said the church had 4 parishioners in 2021, but they dropped off and hadn’t had a single service in 2 years since. Very sad. This place deserves better.
Completely overgrown outside, windows and all doors boarded up/screwed shut, a fridge full of spoiled food from 2018 inside, dust on everything. But most important, a tip from a local.
Thanks for watching! You must be new to Urban Exploration. Its honestly quite common for abandoned places to still have power. We have 2 videos of locations coming in the near future of locations with working power. Cheers!

Wow the power is still on.
This is a beautiful church full of character!❤

Me too!!!I’ve always dreamt of doing that! I either didn’t have the money or the health but it’s still a dream!
I wish it could be turned into a home for those down of their luck etc...what better place to find healing? Wish I had the money.

Could be the church is in a flood zone? Things are built with minimal flooding damage for thought in these areas.
Well no, looks like high and dry spot.
That place is awesome 😎💯 even sitting on the other side of my TV you can feel the emotion from that place

God Bless!
It’s a old southern tradition to use the paper fans, not all churches had proper ventilation. I guarantee God was at this church❤️
God Bless!
I pray God will lead a man to preach and reach the people there to start this church up again. Too beautiful to lose!
Wow! Amazing! Wish someone would restore it.😢

Looks pretty historic, and you are absolutely right about the Colored community who were the first to be given the word of God.
Indians were the first to be educated about God and religion in North America. Then, the slaves. Tough times, back then.
If you can't make racist comments without hiding behind religion, don't bother you're nobody with nothing to say
If there was an active church like this in my area, I'd go back to church.
It doesn’t look abandoned at all, just a bit rundown. Pretty little church.
Omgosh that is such a pretty place. I was surprised by the scenery looks dry but still picturesque Wish we had places like this in Australia ready for an explore. stay safe.
Its bittersweet, the amount of explores in the US. Its beautiful but indicative of American Decline.
I wonder if someone doesn’t still take care of the place? It just doesn’t look abandoned.

It still has power. Saw the clock on the oven blinking. Right after they first went in.
@@mikewillett5076 it is beautiful
Someone’s still paying the power bill
Wes Wrench really did go and take a look... I'm not disappointed

Very nice little church 🙂
Amazing
God is good.🙏
That would make a great house
This church doesn't look abandoned⁉
Beautiful
Really nice church. Too bad it's abandoned 😒
They had "Handheld" fans to hold in each seat row for people to use before AC was installed in these churches....
What a beautiful church, that would be turned into a mosque if it was in the UK 🇬🇧 like what is happening to all our beautiful empty old churches 😥
The Strange Death of Europe
Great police work!!!
Where is the font for baptism
Nobody maintains the roads in that county?
Is it even for sale? Anyone know?
I wonder if Covid was the nail in the coffin.
Maybe...I never thought about that.✌️
How do you know it was abandoned?

definitely NOT abandoned
were it is
Can’t give away locations publicly
❤❤❤❤❤
That no look abandoned looks like they been having church and keeping up with the church
Somebody is still using that church because the power is still on.at 1:13 you can see the stove Clock is on. I don’t think you should be in there.
Not abandon. Only used on special occasions. Someone recently busted the door in. Not cool!
Do you know God created all races and God also gives us the breath of life ?
What a loss
Funny how the clock was blinking on the stove. Most abandoned builds don’t have power and kept clean. You just committed breaking and entering
