I spoke with Peter about this... once. He made no excuses for his actions. "I was wrong. I’m so sorry for it.” He pleaded "guilty" to taking “immoral and improper liberties” with the girl. The two teenagers came up to his hotel room. He had been drinking. One sister said he made her masturbate him while the other watched. (The other said she had no idea what happened because she wasn't in the room at the time.) Peter said the girl was a willing participant. But again, no excuse... she was a teenager at the time. Ultimately he said, "I don't seek to minimize or excuse what I have done, and I cannot adequately express my apologies and sorrow for the pain and injury I have caused in this regard. However, beyond any of my words and feelings expressed... I will walk the walk, and do all I can to make amends, and dedicate myself to helping bring more justice and peace to the world.” When I look at the totality of my own Life so far, I suppose I've done some really shitty things... lied, betrayed a loved one, on occasion in the past... stolen. But I spent much time and energy making amends and trying my best to repair any damage I'd done. I hope at the end of my Life, perhaps people will weigh the good I've tried to do against the shit things I've done.
