    I’m going to leave my pad making to you, but I think it’s so awesome that you made this tutorial! Everyone with periods deserves whatever products they need.

    I am so glad that you have this! I love sewing and am broke so I didn't want to buy one of what I could make 10 of for the same price. The only thing I wasn't sure of was what materials I'd need. Thank you!

    Can you explain the backing fabric again? I wanted to try making these for my daughter, but cannot make out what you said the backing was made from? Thanks so much! Love watching your videos.

      We use something called Softshell fleece. It’s typically used in rain coats because of how highly water resistant it is so it works great in pads. It’s not always the easiest to find though so some good alternatives are Blizzard Fleece, polar fleece, antipill fleece. PUL (polyurethane laminate) is another waterproof fabric that is often used and works well at waterproofing but is slippery so you may find the pad slides around more in your underwear if that’s what you choose to use.

    Do you also make incontinence pads?

    How do I determine what size pad I need? Do I go off store bought no reusable pad? Or my underwear measurement?

    Is the main perk of using serger machine so you don't have to deal with turning it inside out? Or do you still end up doing that step?

    • @softtacoreusables
      @softtacoreusables  Год назад +3

      Serging is a lot faster because it saves the turning step but it also leaves a thinner edge around the pad because it’s only 2 layers vs 4 at the seam when turned and topstitched
