Pat deserves it. In today's game, the QB either has to have a strong arm or be fast & mobile. But Pat is a different breed. He has the ability to keep drives alive & create plays from nothing.

As a Bucs/Broncos fan, I hate the Chiefs with a burning passion and I rarely say good things about my rivals, but Mahomes had one of the greatest seasons a player has ever had in the league last year. He literally got everything. MVP, Super Bowl MVP, #1 overall player, undisputed best player amongst all analysts, he’s at the top of the mountain. Shoot, he played the entire post season on a bum ankle. Now that Brady is gone, it’s a lonely spot to be at and everyone wants to take you down. Trust me, not many more than me want to see him and the Chiefs fall off completely. But the dude earned his flowers and respect this past year.

@@blakelangley7085 Born in Sarasota and raised as a Gators/Bucs fan first but a good amount of my family lives in Denver so they naturally became my AFC team and I’ve rooted for both of them since I started watching football as a kid. It’s particularly wild when I was a massive Manning guy when he was on the broncos and I hated Brady but then my perspective completely changed when Tom came to Tampa and I gained a full appreciation for the rivalry with the both players having finished their careers with my teams. So I feel like it’s pretty unique perspective I ended up having, not to mention Super Bowl rings with both teams

Been watching the NFL for 35 years... hes the best iv seen yet. Obviously he hasnt been in the league but 6 years and only played 5 and has a ways to go to be named the greatest ever....but best and greatest are 2 different things... he is the most talented iv ever seen play the game. Congrats Patrick...add another trophy to the already full case.

The things mahomes has accomplished already literally already solidify him being a 1st ballot HOFer. By time he's retired the bar will be set so high it will sit there for decades. I hope he can get more rings than Tom but that is a huge feat itself

Mahomes is already HOF. He hasnt had a bad or even middling season in 5 years. Even the best do that and I am sure it will happen eventually. That being said right now he is undeniably the best in the league and has been for since he became the starter. I am not even a KC fan and even I know all of this is a fact.
Mahomes has one season that was bad FOR HIM. He threw for 4700 yards, 37 TDs, and was top 5 in every category. 😅 His QB rating was over 98.

Mahomes is a once in a life time. Hes so creative, so flexible and so versatile its insane. Never seen a better player ever. Brady might be greater in terms of accolades at the moment, but Mahomes thus far has in my opinion a far better arsenal than Brady ever did.

absolutely. doesn't mean he's perfect or infallible. he played terrible vs the bengals last year in the afc championship but he learned from it and it resulted in one of the greatest QB seasons of all time. no one player has as much influence on the result of a given game than patrick mahomes does. that combined with the fact that he's just incredibly clutch and consistent in 99% of his games clearly makes him the number one ever since he's been in the league.

I feel Patrick Mahomes deserves to be up there. Then again, he has accomplished more than any other quarterbacks in the league in 6 years. He had already won Super Bowls, and he is very committed to his craft as a pocket passer as well as a runner. He is not a dual threat, so he just came on the field and do his job.
I’m a packers fan and loved watching Rodgers dominate back in his prime and called him the best, but have always seen Brady as the goat… right now I can see Mahomes one day taking the goat status. He’s just special and such an amazing talent. I hate him 😂 but love him all at the same time.

Every year I absolutely have to have him on at least one of my fantasy teams. This year, I was able to get him in the third round of a ten team league where passing tds are 6 points. I'm pretty happy with that

His in between plays are great he’ll use a move and throw when in critical situation and you see the defensive over play because he has created instead of staying continuing to cover and when he scrambled from the front it’s a game of make it break it. He is evolving the way we react to the football under certain circumstances I think

Things can change in an instant. Brady won 3 Super Bowls with Belichick in his first four seasons starting. He didn’t win another one for 10 years. Is Mahomes going to play 22 seasons? Andy Reid definitely won’t be coaching much longer. How do you know Mahomes will have the same success with the next HC of the Chiefs as he is with Andy Reid?
Enjoy the moment while it lasts, but don’t take it for granted. It’s hard to sustain that kind of success. There will probably never be another duo like Brady and Belichick because they were together for 20 years and won six Super Bowls together. They essentially grew up together. Andy Reid is in his twilight years. Assuming Reid coaches another 5 seasons, he and Mahomes would have to win a Super Bowl in four out of those five seasons just to catch up to Brady and Belichick.
