      Like the New Forest in the U.K. Many locals with a long family history in the area have historic Royal decrees to freely use the land for their animals and so you see horses, donkeys, sheep, goats etc just wondering through the villages and the roads, completely free roaming.

    A chainsaw is definitely a homestead tool you need to have. Just be mindful of the tip of the chainsaw bar it can make the saw kick back if it makes contact with the ground or other solid objects. Great video thanks again 💯👍

    • @BotinokA
      @BotinokA 2 месяца назад +2

      @@Wild-Siberia Here you need to pay attention to what @timothypeterson1903 says: when you saw with a chainsaw, try to saw not with the end of the saw, but with the part located closer to the engine. This is important. When sawing with the very tip, you risk getting a strong kickback when it catches. This can lead to both a simple bruise and a fracture. The chain can break, which is also very dangerous.
      There is even a toothed stop on the body of the chainsaw for cutting. And it is not for nothing that it is located at the base.
      All the brightest and clearest to you!

    You need to get a set length for firewood. Using a an aluminum yardstick/meterstick cut to length, bent 90 degrees, and attached to the chainsaw barnear the end will allow you to slightly mark the length needed. Detach the bar and cut along the marks just made when ready to cut. This allows for easier stacking and better efficiency. I have been cutting firewood for about 15 years now. I also work on Stihl chainsaws.

    Although I love me some saws (we have 2 chainsaws at my request) it’s a bit of an overkill for those boards and it’s probably the least needed saw for building a house and annexes, it’s not the most precise. ☺️ You need an angle grinder, a dropsaw and a jigsaw for the house for about everything.
    But you seem to have fun with the chainsaw and it’s a decent brand (I think you said Stihl), you’ll need it for firewood/logs anyway.
    Have you considered asking other expats for help building your home? Some of them seem to be fairly experienced in construction.

    Dan, Stihl and Husqvarna are the best. I have had several brands but these are the best. I presently have a Stihl MS261C. It is very powerful! I HUGHLY recommend that you sometimes get a replacement chain that is better than what comes stock. It has a YELLOW LINK on the chain! This identifies the chain.? Ask someone who sells Stihl saws or operates them. The yellow link chain will virtually chew up the stick chain and spit it out! I can't recommend the yellow link chain enough!

    Lars has built his wooden twelve sided house on his own, it took a lot of time.
    A green house can provide vegetables during winter. In a Canadian self reliance channel the green house failed and finally normal planting was the best.😁

    Hi Daniel, I am American, but I had trouble spending money in China. Not because Visa was not accepted, but because China is cashless and many vendors don’t have credit card infrastructure. Then when I visited Russia, a new set of problems arose… but there are always work around…
    Bank of China
    Chinese banks are not under sanctions, so it is possible to open a bank account at the Bank of China in Moscow. Foreigners need a notarised translation of their passport for this. You can then get a Chinese bank account, and can transfer money from a European bank to this Chinese bank. Your Chinese credit card will work in Russia, as no sanctions are in place. The downside is that you will pay commission for exchanging currencies twice, as you will use the Chinese yuan as an intermediary.
    There are always workarounds, it may be a long time before the US neocons try to make friends with Russia and China…

    Из ваших видео и комментариев к ним поняла, что иностранцы умеют и любят работать. А коров у нас в средней полосе России уже не так много. Недавно повезли ребенка в деревню, чтобы показать домашних животных: кур, коз, овец, собак, коров. Он их видел только в мультфильмах и на картинках. Мы же хотим, чтобы он любил землю. Нашли только кур и цыплят. Коров ни у кого не было. Увидели их случайно, когда возвращались на такси домой. Кричу ребенку: "Смотри, смотри, корова!" Водитель такси потом смеялся всю дорогу. Мы живём на Средней Волге в Ульяновске. Это средний город с населением около 700 тыс.жителей. Но мне тоже интересно смотреть ваш канал. Сама работала с иностранцами, преподаю им историю России. Успехов вам! ❤
