    I have the Micro Pole on mine too, tried the clamp but it constantly came loose. Ended up just bolting it on. That thing puts so much torque on that clamp it would loosen by end of day sometimes. Def keep an eye on it would suck if one day you look back and the whole unit fell in the water. I absolutely love my Classic XL.

    We're looking really hard at this boat listed as a 2022 model now. I absolutely would want to add a gas tank , love how you mounted your battery system charger. Footpetal is a good idea that I know I can install. I like your deck, but we won't need that for casual outings. Looks like the next 2 models up price goes up significantly just to have more casting deck, bigger live well. Nice vid.

      Thanks and your right on models up and significant price increase as well. These boats are very popular at although inflation and materials costs are making everything more expensive, the relative price point still makes this boat a great deal!

    Also had no idea that there was a separate wire up front until you mentioned it. Found it when I cut the hole. I had spliced into the trolling motor wire🙄. I went with a single hatch cover on my extension and would like to add a pneumatic piston to help it stay open. Any suggestions?

    • @RCBassin
      @RCBassin  3 года назад +1

      You can find most anything on Amazon but make sure to measure how high you want your hatch to come up and where you want to position it. I find I gravitate to one side of the deck more than others when I’m getting in and out of hatches. Just something to think about when you decide where to mount the piston. Glad you found your wires up front!

    Awesome looking boat! I'm picking up mine on Monday, black 2021 Classic XL. I missed out on the low prices, but you know how it is... supply and demand. Also, up here in Maine (not a Yankee, I was transferred here) everything is selling quickly. I opted for a Garmin 63cv to replace the Lowrance. I like how you did the deck extension. I'm thinking I'll do the same thing, but I'm going to keep the rod holders. I'm subscribed to your channel!

      I actually used pine 2x4s. I painted them to protect the wood and it's actually still light but sturdy. I didn't lose any top end speed and I can take the entire decking off with 8 screws and lift it right out of the boat.

    We are getting ready to by. 2021 classic xl. The reviews were not real positive and many listed leaking, one guy nearly sunk. Have you had any issues or concerns about the quality of the tracker? We are new to boats. Is there anything you do when buying a new boat to check for loose bolts/hoses, etc before putting it in the water? Thanks for any info you can provide. Love the video and the upgrades.

    • @RCBassin
      @RCBassin  2 года назад +2

      I have never had any issues with my boat. No water leaks and when I purchased mine it was 2019 and my boat is a 2020. I did find some metal shavings in the hull and I used a shop vac and got those out but nothing big. My best advice - take your time especially when you take delivery. Ask lots of questions and look at everything very close. If something doesn't look right - it's probably not!

    Dan The Man Ripon Ca, Black 2021 Tracker Classic XL 50 HP ( Get'n Fishy ) Nice casting deck addition !! I like the simplistic little step too :-) ,,,,are your deck storages a container drop in set up ,, or is it just a framed lid with latches you installed ??? also do you happen to have the info for the spare tire you got off amazon ?? been running without a spare for a yr.......when it was being prep'd I had BPS replace the dash graph and added a ram mounted 7'' split shot where the 4'' was .no extra holes.... so I just swing out the graph when fishing and tuck back behind the windshield when traveling ... later I put the 4'' up front ..I had no idea there was already extra wires ran up front until about 2 months ago when i started watching deck extension / Tracker Classic XL upgrades ... I ran a low voltage wire back to the battery and tucked under the side rail so its not seen and from the side at the front rail to the graph along that front incline edge i used tiny wire clamps so everything looks as clean as possible,, ,,,,what materials did you make your extension out of ?? I've seen both alum & wood frame work on here /... I've also seen a couple of trolling motor foot peddle drop ins installed ,, but Im like EEEEEEEE cutting into my first ever brand new beautiful boat is i don't want to screw things up and regret it .. ( i''m just a weekday warrior & dont' fish tournaments) so my thoughts are do I really need the BIG BULKY 45lb edge peddle out of the way ... # SCAREDY CAT LoL LoL ... one thing i am doing now is -- just purchased this off amazon after watching a 16 gallon live well conversion video ... Is installing in the dash an aerator timer switch 😎 from Leisure Lectronics Selectable Cycle Time Adjustable Livewell Timer Aerator Pump 12V Switch $39.95 no more forgetting to freshen up the Live Well water 🤠
