It’s always fun shopping with you. Our thrifting styles are so similar. I have collected unique plant pots and urns with dilapidated faux flowers in them too. My husband and I went to a local antique mall yesterday (snowy here in SW Ohio) and I found a few treasures. Love the Christmas tree in the urn. Happy New Year Michelle🪴

Hi Fran, yes, it’s great to find pretty planters to repurpose! We too have snow in Illinois. It was nice seeing all the green at Lowe’s… very tropical compared to the snow!😉🪴♥️

It kills me how many people sell this crap they buy it at Goodwill for two dollars then they sell it for 50 acting like they’re gonna make so much money off of the damn base or a bowl or a pot or whatever that’s just greed…! If I buy something at Goodwill, I keep it or I shop for someone else at Goodwill like my sister right now. I’m shopping for things for her, but I never sell it online for more money. That’s just wrong.

Hi Laurie, while I don’t endorse greed or taking advantage of others. A reseller would need to sell higher than they purchased an item for, they would need to factor in their (overhead)time, travel, packaging, shipping to make a profit and be a successful business person. If an item is overpriced then most likely it will not sell, no buyer has to purchase an overpriced item from a reseller. It’s all choice. I do understand your point though! 🙂

That's exactly why I don't sell items that often. People don't understand how much time and effort is put into revamping, recycling, etc. I agree, we have to make money and no one is forcing people to purchase their items. However, people will pay good money for mass produced items. I feel the crime here is Goodwill overcharging the public. You can purchase new items cheaper. It's ridiculous just like all the overcharging that's taking place now a days. 😊
Thanks for sharing your knowledge of plants. I've always had plants. Some are older than my adult children. (35 yrs - 30 yrs) 😊
