In this video will be be discussing 5 fragrances that are overhyped and get over rated on every fragrance list. These are some of the most over hyped and over rated fragrances in my opinion so instead of wearing those over rated fragrances, im going to give you 5 colognes to wear that are better and can be worn in its place.

MFK BR540 edp has been my most complimented fragrance within the past year. On my skin, women love it. Women have said that I smell amazing. I’ve had women ask what i was wearing and to write down the name of it for them. I recently got a compliment from a guy and he asked what i was wearing.
I love 540 edp or ext. Instant crush for me is not similar at all. Opens up really nice and atrong, but I find it cloying and induced me big headache. However it could be good in clubing environment since it will be a destroyer! However normally it gets no love from me.
@Issara Twiltermsup I agree. I don’t think Instant Crush smells like BR540. I used to own a 5ml decant of Instant Crush. There was something in it that was sharp and cloying to my nose. I ended up giving it away.
MFK 540 is my go to when I want to get the women to turn heads.

SMW is way overrated. I smelled it, and was really underwhelmed. It smells good, but for what they asking? Naaaa, I’m out. Cedrat Boise the truth though 😎
My Boi CJ, I'm still mad bout Layton being on 1 of the previous list but it's just my Fav doe. I agree with you 3 outta 5 this time. I been blinded this Pure Blanc cause of U. It smells like an Issey Miyake replacement to me. Cedrat Boise does edge Aventus for me even doe I love the Cologne version as much as U. I'm not big on SMW either but have U ever tried Tabarome Millésime 4rm Creed it's a Lil dated but I get noticed when I wear it. An BTW I feel BR540 maybe Overhyped but not Overrated even doe I Like Instant Crush better also. Lmao

We gon fight on the the Cedrat Boise 😂 I love that fragrance! I don’t get the comparisons to Aventus because it stands on its own and does it’s own thing. However, I’m not replacing it with pure white. I’m going to try pure white, but I don’t see it being a suitable replacement. Credit to you on the out of the box replacement picks tho! I like this series! 👍🏾👍🏾

I think he’s saying too many people say cedrat is a clone of aventus which we all know by now is not true. Idk about the pencil shaving comparison but I’ll buy CB ten times over aventus any day. If anything Aventus is over hyped and overplayed and over priced. New batches performance is terrible and clones or inspirations are the way to go these days

I’ll tell you a fragrance that is underrated - Champagne Royale! Two sprays on the wrist and I got 7am to 5pm longevity and going. Granted I didn’t smell it radiating from my wrist, but it was definitely there when I brought my hand up. And from a previous wearing, I could smell it on my clothes all workday long. It’s not loud but persistent, fresh and original. Salute bro!
Have you mentioned Mont Blanc Explorer? I purchased it when it was first released and was only available at Macy’s. It was a blind buy. I paid full retail for it also. I was underwhelmed. It smelled ok overall. I didn’t get any compliments when I wore it. I started to reach for Afnan Supremacy Silver EDP instead of Explorer. It smells better and performs better IMO.
Im not 100% sure that would make it.. I don't really see an overwhelming amount of hype on that one. It kind of came and went. I think its just an "ok" solid fragrance like you said. Nothing special and people tend to agree and not really over hype it

Mfk 540 a beast. That once fragrance line wear all the fragrance beast mode. It’s hype because it’s success and men and women enjoy it. The extrait way better than the parfum so which one have you gotten your nose on because the concentration smell totally different between the two
I never understood how that Mancera was supposedly comparable to Aventus to me the scent profile isn't close. I definitely agree on the BR540 and was planning on getting Instant Crush along with Y Live sometime soon ✌🏾
yeah, its not even close to Aventus. I can see how its good on its own to some people but all that hype for it? Nah B lol Definitely grab you some Instant Crush and Y live. 100% worth the money

Tuxedo definitely fire. The fact that its overhyped doesn't take away from how good the fragrance smells. I just think people need to hear about other offerings at times. Glad you enjoyed that Caban cause its a goodie!
Looks like Hibiscus flowers on you shirt. I have a (Red) Hibiscus plant I’ve been growing for 4yrs now. The yellow one died the first winter. Love your content and style of delivery. You’re like the homie that always gonna put you up “fragrance” game in a REAL way like a “G”!
BR 540 got me. I purchased based on the opening and realized later that the drydown was not for me. It seems to have a very medicinal scent as well as a bit of rubber/nitrile glove smell. And during covid times that is the smell I am trying to avoid, lol. I gravitate towards scents that I love and make others want to lean in and smell you. Also nice when you receive a compliment or when someone goes and grabs their friends just to have them smell you. I will say if you like 540 then you might consider Navitus Parfums Absolutio. It smells very similar with the medicinal smell turned down slightly. And I don't notice the exam glove smell with it either. The price is the biggest difference, and still extremely high quality. Unfortunately I own both BR 540 and Absolutio I could live another 500 years and still have 90% left in those 2 bottles.
I just picked up the Chrome United it is nice cheap too
Just dropped $20 on Amazon for that Pure Blanc. Fragrantica compares it to Chanel Allure Homme Sport though.

Yessir. They are. Over hyped doesn't always equate to being bad. I just feel it's time to start speaking on other fragrances and giving those a break. Salute fam

OMG! YSL Caban is absolutely beautiful. I have Tuxedo and I've been asking myself for over a year what is the big hype about this scent - Caban is much, much better. Thanks for discussing this one. I've not heard anyone talk about Caban.

Dylan Blue had so many medical assistants and nurses always asking me what I was wearing at the hospital 😂. And I love Rochas Moustache EDP (YSL Tuxedo clone). Great series by the way! Enjoying the roll outs!

@@andrik5754 Tbh I've never smelt Tuxedo but Rochas Moustache EDP is so good I don't even want to know how it smells. Watched over 10+ videos of reviewers saying it's dead spot on and even lasts longer. Get it man. You won't regret it

I think it's age appropriate for 18+ so you should get it. It lasts 8 hrs+ on me so I don't have performance issues to be honest.

Silver Mountain Water is just ok. It’s definitely missing something. I’ve recently gotten my nose on Bamboo Harmony again for the first time in like 5 years (or more)…and it is still good. Very unique and not overbearing. BR 540 is one of my favorite scents ever but it is odd to see people that aren’t into fragrance actually speak on it… or they’re thirsty to see what it smells like and almost willing to spend the money on it. But I agree, it’s almost a bragging right to tell people you own it. SMH

Even Tuxedo, and I love Tuxedo. But after the opening (which is one of the best I've ever smelled) it's just a slightly spicy vanilla. Nothing mind blowing.
Cedrat Boise and BR540 can take a hike man lol. Super overrated.

I agree with you about MFK 540, I had heard so much hype about this fragrance before I sampled it and boy was I disappointed, I didn’t understand they hype and still don’t, 🤷🏻♀️, there is better out there.
Yeah the hype is misleading on this one. Is not terrible at all but i think with all the hype surrounding it.. its going to let alot of people down
To each their own. I have to try a few of these. Not impressed with the whole Ysl Y line, Dylan Blue, SMW is def. overhyped. Aventus deserves the hype but not worth the price to me, so many good dupes of Aventus imo that for a person on a tight budget it makes absolutely no sense to purchase it. BR Extrait is 🔥 but way too expensive, never tried the Edp. Have a Dua dupe of the extrait.

I'm glad you brought up Dylan Blue. Because the hype other reviewers give it is ridiculous. I gave my bottle away, I just didn't get it. The scent was sickening to me. My wife hates it.

Aventus is ok cause I've tried it. But it's not worth the price compared to it's other clone versions. Performance was horrible on my skin and clothes compared to CDNI & Cedrat Boise. And being around people that can't tell the difference, Aventus can remain on the store shelves for all I care. It's not even worth the discount prices.
MFK BR540 Extrait is where it's at. Nuclear powerhouse. Possibly the best frag in my collection.

For it to be on this list I really don't think silver mountain water is actually that hyped up. People like and appreciate it and it does have it's fans but it's not a hype fragrance.
Tuxedo is great but cuir & 6 place Saint Sulpice by ysl are amazing & YSLs best.

Silver Mountain is pure 🔥🔥🔥🔥 to me and gets wow what's that and whatever you're wearing smells amazing more often than not lol and I haven't really came across nothing really close to it. And Dylan blue that signature Versace sweetness with the citrusy blue notes is an amazing combo for me it my 2nd favorite blue fragrance after Y EDP. I've never got the dated feel from it I don't know maybe your sample was faulty again 😂😂😂. I'm with you 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 with BR540 and instant crush gimmie IC all day at least 2 compliments not counting wifey everytime I wear it and it getting close to be on my banned list LOL!!!! Most overrated IMO Savuage all of them (haven't tried elixir though) all of the PDM fragrances they all smell like something else to me and don't blow them out the water to garner a purchase for me!!!!

Not to mention the price. People are going to look at me crazy if i told them they'd have to pay $200-400 for a bottle of that smell lol

Aventus always gets me the most amazing compliments. I am mostly in warmer locations if that matters. Vegas, AZ & LA. Aventus seems to check a lot of boxes for me. The 2 most important being I love how it smells and the people I am around also love how it smells. Which seems like the point of wearing scents. Lol
