Well the thing is some girls do. If you ever read stories in wattpad, you would see how many teens write novels about bad guy who is either a bully or an abuser targets the good girl, but the girl still falls in love with bad boy and change him with her unconditional love" kind of story. Also, you would see many books romanticing abusive relationship, which are mostly written by women. This is really disappointing to see how women like them think they can change an abuser or a bad boy into a good boy.
I am worried about young teens who would read this kind of story and may think that abuse is normal and even if your partner is abusive or a cheater, you should change them with love instead of moving on from them.

@@annatom4629 there is difference. Many people will still like that book but don't actually like what's going on. Fantasy is different than reality. This is a common misconception people have that a girl would actually fall for that type of guy just because of the book they read. Wattpad books are just self insert fantasy that people have. Most of women in real life will not have the same reaction.

    • @annatom4629

@@fizaishaqwala7449If that is the case, then why are we even criticizing the movies shown here since they are all fantasy. Also, why are movies like 365 days, 50 shades of grey so popular among young women?. There are some controversies around it, but still many especially women likes it.
Fantasy is indeed different from reality. But the thing is some people don't get it Older women may understand it, but that is not how teens absorb it. There are even kids in wattpad. They may think that since the books show that people can change an abuser/ bad boy into a good one with their unconditional love, they can also do it.I have seen a woman who has told that she stayed in an abusive relationship much longer since she read a book about a woman changing an abuser in the wattpad. Thankfully she understood it later that it was a bad idea.
      .
Even though fantasy is different, some women's real thought comes in the comment section. I have seen numerous women commenting " how I wish I had a man like that (abuser) in real life", which is scary. I have seen a woman sympathising with the abuser and blaming the victim instead.
There was a book that I liked (forgot the name), the girl was in a abusive relationship (spoiler: she was forced to marry a mafia guy; she was raped, abused, one of her children with him almost got sexually abused by his subordinate, and her husband himself try to kill the child since she was impure now), but she finally escapes with her children and ends up with her true love. Do you know how many women didn't like that and instead liked the abuser? There is one comment I remember telling that they understood the abuser and why he did it😑.
I believe that some women may think that we can change abuser/bad guy into a good guy. Some women even want other women to stay in an abusive relationship, which happened in my family. My dad is an abuser/cheater, but still people around us, some men, but mainly women are the ones who try to interfere in our family matter and convince my mom to forgive my dad and that it is her fault for being abused.
Ofcourse there are men who also convince that abuse is fine and abuse is normal. I just had a heated debate with a guy who think women are weak when they don't forgive the abuser and that a slap isn't abusive even though I gave the numerous definition for the word abuse😑

You think showing harassment in the name of romance in movies is "just entertainment"? Youngsters won't get influenced? My ex, used to be very pushy for intimacy and used to emotionally blackmail me. When I came to my senses, I broke up with him, which resulted in him stalking me for an year and threatening me with suicide. It must be very entertaining to see such scenes on the big screen, but those incidents gave me terrible anxiety and effed up my mental state for years and I'm still struggling to overcome it. my sister and her friend went to a nearby park *@7 pm* last year. a guy started following them and when they got to a point where nobody is there.. he literally started jerking.. As a result my mom said after 7 no one will go to that park. but me and my sister.. still goes to that park even after 7 (not during covid times).. but you can see that. and i don't blame my mom for that at all.. obviously she wants to protect us. this is our india..

I don't don't really get into someone's personal life but when a guy asked my sister for nudes and she noticed i have seen her messages, she gets agitated and asked me not to poke but the thing is how can i ignore it, if that guy releases her nudes and blackmail her! I told her politely and she started mocking me to not evade her privacy, i felt hurt, i was just warning her but she took side of him. So not taking risk, i told our mom, she even fought with mom, what a foolish childe is she, but since she is a child its duty of ours to protect her. The fight got ugly, and for mom not getting too angry with her, i slapped my sister since she was going out of her limit since she started swearing our mom. Although our fight got resolved since she got to know the real intention of that boy, she realised i was right all along. I didn't told about this to our dad, he loves my sister too much and he may get hurt if he hears about this issue. Sorry for the long ass paragraph, but i just wanted to say that, please don't let your sister or brother get in the wrong path, even it means them to hate us, but for their betterment we must.

In schools, colleges, universities you'll see boys "courting" girls like this. I remember a few incidents where I tried to correct the guys and even girls in My class but they kept trolling me. Preeti was innocent, but wasn’t dumb. If she was, then she’d elope with Kabir from her wedding. She wanted him to suffer. But whatever it is, this movie is filled with morals how you should never take anything for granted or don’t be arrogant. I don’t wanna look at it as a toxic masculinity and misogynist movie. In fact. I liked it, I liked how he realized his mistakes after suffering so much, that should be enough to let people know not to make mistakes, if people ignore this fact they’re ignorant, just like Kabir Singh was 😂
