Hey thanks Chad I'm way out in moccasin Montana doing a 63 Chevy stepside and a 72 fleetside GMC ground up together in unisoneverything's working out pretty good because there's no timeframe they're mine and when they're done I will just drive them I'm taking him to final paint and everything 2 years now hope to have them done within a year all the rough work and welding is complete and now I'm doing my body works have restored about 25 in my life cars and trucks fun to get back into it after twenty years of BNSF working on the track railroad thank you again
That’s awesome Brian! Two at once is a big task, but like you said, go at your own pace. If you have FB shoot me some pics of the projects as they progress. Facebook.com/ItsTheChad71. Thanks for sharing and for watching!
Chad, I really enjoy your videos. Lots of information, with a bit of humor. Do you have any on how to remove the coil springs and control arms? Thank you
There is a LMC video on removal and replacement. They cut the inside rubber which is actually what holds it in, cut across top and sides the you dont actually have to cut all the way through lower areas. Once top is cut you can pull the inside rubber off all the wsy around and the windshield is loose. I did mine in about 15 min or less.
Looking at doing this on my K10. Thanks for the demonstration. :) Hey if you do decide to go to the C10 nationals, lemme know. I'm driving out there from Lenexa KS and can't talk anyone into going so it would be great to look around with other people out there.
Thanks James! It really went smooth. I have another event that weekend or I’d love to go. I’ve never been to one yet. My buddy won the 67-72 truck of the year at Nationals in Texas back in May. Pretty awesome!
Hey Chad you forgot one more model the Panel I have a 68 and a 57 they are the same as the pickup truck at least to the back of the doors thought I' d mention that.
I could use that rear sliding glass window. I leave the solid one in because i dont want to spend $450 for the sliding rear. New windshield is only 180.
@@C10TruckNerd the rear window seal is more as well, plain glass is not. Windshield seal is $49, rear window seal is $57. This is based on LMC, classic industries and AMD prices.
Do you happen to have any cabs available for a 72 AC c20? I believe the floorboard is too far gone on mine for floor pan replacement lol I’m about 30 minutes or so northeast of you I believe
I don’t have any cabs right now. A guy I know has a 72 AC cab down in Ark City. Not sure how good it is. Shoot me an email and I will get you the info. My email is on my main page.
Yes it will. Just the rear was different. Only difference over the years was if you have the stainless trim around it. It and the gasket were different over the years.
No no no The best way I know It's because the rubber is so dry and hard it's the cut to face the rubber rate off And get down behind of it with a puddy knife And carefully break the glass loose Without breaking the glass Without breaking the glass

Thank you for the support! I don't have any videos on those topics yet, but both are on my list.

I don’t understand why it’s so much more!

Hay Chad what about the rear siding window forsale
I did sell that one at a swap meet a while back. I didn’t realize how popular those were until I parted the truck out.
Chad I’m working on a 67, will a 68-72 front windshield fit my 67

@@alexmendoza8660 you bet!
A guitar string or piano wire couple blocks of wood a guy on the inside guy on the outside cut it out easy
I haven’t tried that yet. Hear it works out slick!
I did my windshield I cut the gasket from the inside & it came right out from the top first!! Peace
Good deal!

Any good tips or tricks you have learned pulling them?
