If I ever needed a class this is what I would watch. Thanks for the video!

Really informative video. I'm in the process of doing the exact same job. I thought I would start with the radiator removal. I've a question, where you are missing the 8mm screw on the drivers side bracket, I'm seeing the condenser pipework fixed on the radiator in my case, so not really sure how to separate that without degassing the condenser.

I've done 3- 5.0 LR4's so far and while some have that 8mm screw holding the a/c lines to the radiator, with one missing it, but they all do separate from the radiator. There is also suppose to be 4- 8mm screws on the front of the condenser holding it to the radiator which are all accessible with the front bumper on, but the grille removed. This video may show it better: ruclips.net/video/GFXDvKtk-ZQ/видео.html Hope I answered your question.

@mountainviewsgarage dead right. I cracked on today and got the radiator out. It's a tight fit. Had to remove the coolant reservoir to allow space for the oil cooler pipes to be pulled aside. Also, there's one screw holding the condenser to the radiator - bottom left thats right behind the bumper mount. Hard to spot but once you know its there, you can jam in a 1/4 extension to get it.

Good to see a new project. Your vr6 Touareg video really helped with my vr6 removal and overhaul. Regarding plastic hoses breaking I lost track of how many plastic clips and tubes that just turned to dust when they were disturbed

We've been waiting to start this one, my daughter especially. You're definitely right about those plastic hoses and clips, the VW's seemed to be some of the worst for it. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Another question if that's OK. I see some other videos where they struggle to get the rear drivers side injector out (due to the aircon pipes). Solution is to disconnect the aircon pipes from the bulkhead - which is a pain as you would need to recharge the refrigerant afterwards. I'm not quite there yet, just waiting for the injector tool to arrive. What did you do in this case?

Great question. I found the angle of the tool allowed me to clear the a/c lines/connections. With that being said, depending on how many miles are on the vehicle or if the injectors have ever been removed. They can be very stubborn, I got an arm workout on this one as it had close to 200,000 miles on it. Spray some WD40 or penetrating oil the night before and be ready for a good workout. The next 2 engines were surprisingly easy to get them loose. Good luck!
