The best thing about the outdoor aviary is that you can plant vegetation around it, providing some protection for the birds, which gives them security. If something grows inside, they can peck at the birds, but the entire plant is safe.
It was nice to see your parents on your blogs . Mom is looking well while Dad is always ready with his joke of the day. Glad you both are back safe and sound at the farm your home.
I know it probably sounds silly, but man I have missed the Farm! I have been thinking about the pond, suga & honey, the aviary, the birds, and of course Cypher & Sahara! Glad you two had a really wonderful trip, but I'm so happy you're home! & I love that RJ was singing Christmas music.. I think he's happy to be home too 💖

OMG seriously following u guys over the past 3 weeks then to see u arrive home was like a breath of fresh air No clutter no concrete roads no houses ontop of houses....yes u could dine out u had convenience of fast foods....malls and the fast life But as soon as u arrived home The plants the greenery., the love shown from your pets, The pool the modern minimalist house the comfort of modern in a tropical setting Wowwwwww I even felt like a weight off my shoulders Makes one appreciate the simple life in a modern setting in a spacious green and animal friendly setting If only mum and dad and Joe and family could live with u there....I feel like they are the missing link to your happiness xxx

I'm finally able to watch vlog. Been busy since last week because we travelled to Southern Taiwan for the Coldplay concert and last night watched Westlife's concert in Taipei. 😊 Happy to watch your vlog and see the Mabuhay farm house again. 😍
When it comes PI mangoes ur so rite. Hands down dielish! Here in Guam we have the mango imported. N certain drinks,desserts r seasonal based on PI mango season. $8 a pound if we lucky. I am so feeling u on this video with coming home.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️love u n RJ. WELCOME HOME!
Man, the water lettuce in the pond sure exploded in number. They be busy extracting all those nutrients in the water and propagating new plants. I have been propagating some Kangkong right now to prepare them to be added to the Riparium that I recently finished creating as I want to see how they'd fare in such a set-up. Calathea I find grows better in areas without direct sunlight, as what I also discovered to the ones I have in my garden. The leaves started wilting when my mother placed it in areas with direct sunlight but recovered pretty quickly when I moved it into an area with no direct sunlight. I wonder if there are a lot of registered breeders of tropical songbirds in the country since most of the songbirds on sale are usually grassland species like finches. I think captive-bred orioles, startlings, and birds called laughing-thrushes could work for the indoor aviary though.

Welcome Home!!! I know you had an amazing trip but, as we all know, very well, there’s no place like home! It would not be a visit at home without a Daddy’s Joke of the Day! He’s so freaking awesome!! OMG, I LOVE Tomato soup!! (I make a pretty awesome bowl of Tomato soup… I want you to try someday :) ). Butter Chicken is one of my all-time faves, for sure (the absolute best Butter Chicken I’ve ever had, in the whole world, is from Venice, Italy, of all places, LOL). LMAO, Mikey you KNOW how to do a buffet!! I am still amazed that you just take stuff without knowing what it is and you eat it and you love it… I could never but, dang… I love how you do it! That’s the best part!! Getting on the floor and rolling around with the dogs when you get home… that’s awesome!!! LOL, it’s reverse jet lag… that’s so funny!! I was almost thinking you’d just strip down and jump in your pool, LOL. OOOH, let’s see what all this stuff looks like in the side yard! Darn! Sad to hear stuff needs to be re-done. I guess there’s something to be said for actually being there to keep up standards and such. Well, ya’ll are back now so, it’ll all get straightened out. Ya’ll are making great use of those pergolas, I love it when things like this are purposed for something other than they were designed for. This side lot is really going to be epic when it’s all done. I’m super excited to see all that! I’ve always found, regardless of where you’re at, the only way to get things done right (your way and up to your expectations) is to be there your self (or have a totally trusted PM) and inspect what you expect every day. If we’ve learned anything, ya’ll will get it all worked out. It’s high-larious, the turtles are as camera shy as RJ is, LMAO! WOW, those pepper plants really took off while ya’ll were gone. I’m very interested in seeing the fruit soon… Ya know, the connection you have with your home, it’s only natural to have missed it while you were gone… I think it’s adorable! Would it be nicer if it was like a dome for the birds…well, with the double doors it would look like an igloo of some sort, a nice see-thru igloo😊 same ideas and features for 360 views…at the center of the dome is the fountain where the birds can bathe…but it’s just for me, RJ of course has great ideas. The way they did the aviary wire/screwing it together looks like something I did making a little garden feature 🤣🤣 (because I hate cutting wire and don't measure things well - but then again I'm not a builder) - Don't worry, it's going to turn out awesome!
