Nibel would 100% be the hunter of balahara,imagine riding on seikret riding through the dunes getting chased by a balahara pack,then seeing a nibelsnarf snatches a balahara and slams it into a rock, the other balahara scatter in fear then you have to fight him
I like Nibble alot but i feel like Balahara has taken over the sand leviathen identity for wilds so i would love to see him but i wont be shocked if he dosen't
@CrowBait-93 that's a good point, but look at diablos and monoblos and cephadrome. 3 sand creatures who burrow in and out, and they were all in the original monster hunter. I highly doubt Balahara is the only sand dweller in MH Wilds.

imo, Nibblesnarf is one of the most fun monsters to hunt in coop in MHp3rd, i love its interactions with barrel bombs and the fishing mechanics. i think he is also great to showcase the variety in shapes for the leviatans, and quirky mechanics capcom has made
I think the answear is not "Yes or no". It's "Please" I actually like this goober. I find his unique mechanics fun enough that despite how simple he is, the hunt is not that bothersome. Leagues less annoying on "swimming mode" than Chephadrome, at least he doesn't do circuits around the map. His craftables are also pretty dope, all with military/riot themes. But hey, if they managed to make Basarios actually somewhat fun on Rise, I don't see how they can't make an "ok" to "decent" monster fun as well.
@@RathalosWatch Some of these sets are a pain to find images online. But in MHGU they're just called Nibblesnarf Helm/Chest/etc. And one weapon I find specially cool is the CB, called Type 31 Wyvernslayer.
Another one of my favourite hunts. Just like the Congalala, going to hunt this mons is similar to taking a break from "serious" hunting and just having a good time! Every time we see this one on the quest board all we did was: "Hurry! Bring the bombs!" This was another super fun hunt
Every time I see the quest to kill a Nibelsnarf my faces cringes and just go pick a different quest. I do not enjoy this hunt at all. Love me some Congalala though!
@@RathalosWatch hmmm i see i see, perhaps due to weapon mains i supposed. During times where Nibelsnarf was available I was a Swaxe main so doing ele discharges into its uvula was pretty satisfying. And it's quite easy to get him vulnerable because of all the bombs we brought 🤔

I tell it how it is but I am always respectful about things if someone has an opposite opinion. But as soon as someone starts getting toxic towards me or another individual then I immediately just shut it down and we part ways. I believe its the most fair way.

With this fantastic dessert area in Wilds, I can definitely Nibelsnarf coming back. It was an interesting fight in the games it was in. Just had to try staying in the monster's blind spot and not get sprayed by sand.
Ya know what? I wasn't even thinking about it, but I'd LOVE to see Nibelsnarf again. It's a weird monster, but a fun one to fight. I miss the big mouthed sand fish.
I re-fought Nibelsnarf yet again recently in MH GU and, again, I fail to see any problem with the fight. In fact Nibel is one of those monsters that you would only find annoying if you didn't know what you were doing, refused to learn and kept banging your head against the wall. If you approach the fight properly and utilize all the mechanics that are there to make the fight easier (bombs and fishing for example) the fight is really easy and it's satisfying to get rewarded for utilizing the mechanics properly.
@RiskOfBaer that can be said for any fights. That if you understand mechanics and know how to counter them and what to use when etc. His just not a fun fight to me. I don't have issues killing him lol as I have done it plenty of times. But anytime there is anquest to kill him, I just get annoyed. It's a matter of preference, just like foods that you like or don't like to eat. In this case, Nibelsnarf is a monster that I don't find fun hunting.
I actually really like nibble snarf. Despite how ugly he is i like how much a change of pace his fight was in p3rd. Always loved luring him to bombs and fishing him up, as well as getting the part break on his uvula.
Would love to see Nibel back in Wilds. I had a great time fighting it in MHP3rd and I remebered he had cool armor sets too that I used to progress further in the game. Cant remeber what his name was in MHP3rd but it sure is gonna be quite nostalgic for me to fight it again haha
I fought it in a MHGU and I thought he was alright, but I've never been a fan of burrowing monsters. I enjoy seeing the monsters full body and for 90% percent of the fight he is buried.
I am not sure about 90% of him being buried throughout the fight. I'd say that's more accurate for Cephadrome. Nibelsnarf is also a lot easier to bait out than others. You can use barrels and fish him out too. His also a lot easier to land hits on than the cephadrome. Diablos is basically unkillable unless you bring 10x sonic bombs, that dude just burrows 24/7.
Hey man. Living the videos. And this is up to you. But you should make a video on some of your current views about wilds. I say this cause it's a great way to make a "moment in time." Something that is getting all the more interesting with the changing of time. And might be nice down the line and You ever want to look back and see how your thoughts and views have changed.

As for my own thoughts on wilds, I actually was thinking about something like that. But at this point with how close we are too all the weapons and the actual demo that I can at least see other people play/stream it would be more wise for me to wait for that before making a video. Right now there is really not enough footage and I don't want to use a ton of filler. So I am going to hold on probably for something like this at least for another week. We are gonna see a TON of new things next week at gamescom. Most likely a Flagship monster and new monsters, more gameplay and gameplay systems. I will be making more monster rating videos as always and counting this series. I am very excited, lots of stuff to cook. I really like Nibblesnarf, he's a fun funky little guy with a lot of fun gimmicks and is miles better then cephadrome, however when it comes to wilds I don't think he's the right pick, idk how much sandy dune areas there are for him in the new map and I'm not sure if he'd fit in aesthetically, plus balahara seems to be covering the sand swimmer niche for this game, so I wouldn't mind or say no but he's low on the priority list for me

yeah hes cool enough i guess. while he still needs a rework, he was one of the few early low rank fights in mhgu that i liked (along with great macco, tetsucabra, and najarala)
lmao yeah but at least it's not gen 1 cephedrome where sonic bomb don't do anything becasue he's out of the zone for most of the hunt, trying to make you time out of a 50 minute quest and often succeeding. The dam gen 1 horror stories for cephedrome and rathalos are brutal. This monster has a lot more personality and unique interactions. Sure, they could make him less tanky because it kind of expects you to hit his weak spot in his mouth more consistently than is practical for many. There was also the fishing him out of the sand interaction but taht could be a pain to pull off. He would need some reworks but I think he's a cool monster. He could use more moves and combos. Maybe if they do a later subspecies, like with ruby basarios coming 3 generations later, they should replace the sand for snow. Make him a better beotodus. I would not be sad to not see him in Wilds, we can wait till the next portable game. Oh Gog, a qurupeco from above and a nibble snarf from below.
Honestly, I wouldn't be upset if Nibelsnarf comes back or not. I rather have someone else take his spot in Wilds. Far better monsters out there, Balahara alos seems to scratch that itch too.
@jockpackage1770 I am curious what the portable team is making. I am deeply hoping for a proper old school remaster package of previous games for ps5/xsx/PC, but that's just massive copium. Otherwise it's probably a sequel to rise or something new again

Mid development, Rise had to pivot to after World's success to be like it. Originally, Rise was going to be and old school/gen 4 style game with loading between zones. They had like a map or 2 finished and hadscrap it all to make them like what we got

I remenber hunting them for fun... bombs, fishing and bonks. Even without them, i didnt though of him as annoying, which, surpriesed me in this video. But hey, personal experience right? i enjoy more siege battles more than most so... maybe i just like some gimmicks form time to time. @@RathalosWatch it all started back on the PSP when I was younger, when Cehpadrome refused to fight me and just kept swimming timing out the mission and being the first monster to make me cry Then, I figured out jailbreaking and got portable 3rd running on my PSP. Nibblesnarf comes at a wonderful time in that game where you don't have enough sharpness, so imagine bouncing every hit leading to always getting hit by the stupid sand blast and then timing out the hunt after all of this. Nibblesnarf became the second monster to make me cry and I will never forgive either of them

@@landondavis2849 i mean i fought both Monoblos and Diablos last week or so in Monster Hunter Freedom 2. I really don't see a big difference in the fight. They both just go underground non-stop and best way to kill the mis Sonic Bomb abuse. Their moves are practically same. It's almost like a copy paste with a different skin I have no clue why they co-exist.

@spinoguy9775 older titles had plenty of sand creatures that would exist in same game. Look at Diablos, Cephadrome and Monoblos from MH1 on PS2.

@@landondavis2849 i mean i fought both Monoblos and Diablos last week or so in Monster Hunter Freedom 2. I really don't see a big difference in the fight. They both just go underground non-stop and best way to kill the mis Sonic Bomb abuse. Their moves are practically same. It's almost like a copy paste with a different skin I have no clue why they co-exist.
