He would actually fit in perfectly with what will most likely be a snow storm in the ice area since he'd play really nicely with lakes freezing and melting over the hunt
Personally, I would love to see the G rank expansion for wilds be a coral highlands type environment. Or even create a whole new kind of environment. Like, say a vast ungrounded environment with cristals and all new kinds of life. We already have hints from rise:sunbreak that an ungrounded world exists.
@@nidhoggr8193 I am not where Rise takes place. Isn't it its own thing? I despised New World in MH World terrible locales. Coral felt like some weird alien planet that was way out of place. MH Wilds is taking place in the forbidden lands, which is Old World. Thank god.
@RathalosWatch that's why I think it would be good for a g rank expansion. That way, it doesn't feel so out of place. That being said, I still loved it in the world. Its relationship with the rotten vale was one of my favorite parts of the world. It's also good to see them expand on the fantastical nature of the world. As much as I love the original format for environments, the coral highlands was a cool mix-up.
@@nidhoggr8193 I did like rotten vale. But it seems that Capcom is being a lot more consistent with the storyline, so I highly doubt that we will go to some weird never before seen place. World was more experimental with its lore, MH Wilds seems to stick to something very specific, and I like that a lot. If anything, the G Rank needs to bring back some good old school style locales, maybe like a Deserted Isle if it's not in the base version imo.
@RathalosWatch I lived world, and some of the lore they had I thought was cool. But a lot also felt really rushed. I liked the feeling of exploring the land and discovering it was mysterious. The new world is interesting because It's new. It makes for a decent testing ground. But I am curious what you didn't like about the locals? Personally, my only problem was the map how cramped they got at times. But I am hoping Wilds goes back a little and fleshes out each local so we don't have a repeat of the wildspiere waists.
@@RathalosWatch I’m fairly certain that the forbidden lands are in the new world though. From the similarities between the World and Wilds logos, the big map at the commander’s table in seliana, the slinger being a thing. It all points to a continuation of the new world. By all means, I could be wrong, something new could have been announced that I missed, but everyone else that I’ve seen talking about Wilds has said that they think it’s in the new world.
Absolutely! Zamtrios is one of those monsters that should have been in Rise. The fight was fun and interesting and the ice weapons look nice too. Not to mention the subspecies had great paralysis weapons in 4 Ultimate. Would love to fight Zamtrios again and hear that theme!
Tiger stripe could be written to secrete a sticky mucus all over its body in order for sand and rock to adhere to its body. This would be similar to chatacabra sticking rocks and sand onto its limbs after licking them. A cool finisher for its rock armor state would be a huge body slam. First it bounces until it bounces really high, then it slams the ground with its armored back onto the hunter. A cool mechanic would be leading it into rey daus den and getting it to stick the electric rocks onto itself. Now during the sand tide and whenever it comes into conflict with rey dau it might get struck by lightning more often and rey daus attacks may do more damage. Some of the attacks incorporate tiger stripe wacking you with the rocky parts if its body to stun you, spitting out sticky mud balls, and beams of mucus that give water blight. Getting hit with the mud balls makes you move slower with a new ailment called “muck blight” this is new ailment that works similar to the old mud man ailment. This ailment can be applied by the following: balahara, congalala, great jagras(if added) barroth(if added) almudron(if added) radobaan(if added) jyuratodus(if added) anjanath(if added) Muck blight will cause all animations to be slowed down, that includes attacks, dodges, eating, and drinking items. This also shortens the distance of Superman dive. Use a cleanser to rid yourself of the ailment.
The switch axe could also be a new carapaceon, it could be a crab claw... Please Capcom, it's been 18 years!!! I really want this guy back, it was so sad to note see him in Rise. As much as I love the balloon form, his most iconic move is the not-a-hipcheck: He will enter a hip check like stance, stay still for 3to 5 seconds, then follow up with one of 3 moves, 2 at lower ranks, depending on positioning of the hunter when the timer runs out. These moves are; if you are still to the same side of him he will instead of a hip check he will turn 90 degrees at you and charge for a way longer distance any any hip check so backing up the normal distance will get you hit, if you are generally in front of him he will use a sweeping beam, and in higher ranks he gets a spin if you're behind him or to the other side where the charge can't go. I don't know why he won't turn the to the otehr side for the charge but he just doesn't. I would love it if they fixed that and gave him a new move for if he's behind you and the spin is just he may do it instead of the move based on your position of you're closs enoguh so it's a coin toss in melee range of the spin or the moves based on what side you're at. 2:58 cephedrome was suppose to be hammerhead shark, maybe also with a mix of another species of shark or fish that's flatter. He definitely has the hammer head look down but his fight is awful. Tigerstripe is cool, he loses the ice armor but focuses way more on the inflating aspect of the fight, with both water as well as paralysis instead of ice. He's a lot of fun. He also loses the application of applying ice blight when he deflates but he uses this a lot more often. He has a few new variations on his bouncy moves, as you would expect from a subspecies that went all in with that part of the fight and sacrificed the ice armor. I would love to see him get more changes to his moveset though.
Zamtrios is one of the reasons I got into monster hunter so I hope he returns, tiger stripe should come back in the master rank because he needs a rework
Yes this one should definitely return. It seems Gen 4 mons are all really unique, from Seltas to Najarala to Nerscylla to this one, even Kechawacha was pretty fun
Rise was made by a completely different team over at Capcom. Capcom has 2 MH teams. The main core flagship team responsible for main entries and the mobile team. Rise was made by the mobile team. I do not believe the games have any kind of correlation between each other as far as what may or may not be included, yeah sometimes they burrow stuff sure but that's about it. So I would not look at Rise as the end all or be all for their decisions for Wilds. Rise also had a baby tetsucabra that did not make it into the game either.
