i believe that he is saying stuff like that to give him a sense of confidence, which means he could potentially make a dumb play etc because he is confident. If you are competitive you can very easily use speech to play mind games and it happens in a lot of sports

I went over to the coffee shop where they play these games and saw all of the people who are featured on these videos. Thing is the game of chess has two fronts: The game itself and the mind games. Trash talking or any other distractions are typically part of the game. In the pro world though, distracting an opponent has to be done a bit more subtle. This "Coffee Chess" should be called street chess since any distractions are allowed.

I'm bipolar and I don't act like that during any chess or any board game I play. If ever I start to feel a bout of rage coming on as a result of losing and I can amicably bow out, I'll do so, congratulate my opponent on a job well done, and leave with grace, as that is the true essence of chess. Not sore losers like this Mike guy or the notable chess player, Gary Kasparov when he played against IBM's Deep Blue. Now THAT was a temper tantrum if I've ever seen one.
Video games are more challenging, but usually I can quit a match early if the rage is too intense and save my opponents the trouble of my rage. That said, I'll never really be able to play MOBAs, even though I like their premise; too toxic for me, usually.
There's also a thing as being a "sore winner"; those who taunt their opponents upon victory and such, and people generally don't like those. Those are common in FPS games such as Overwatch and COD, MOBAs, and undoubtedly this Mike guy would have been one should he have won.
So no, he's probably not bipolar; his only condition is being an asshole. I was playing chess with someone on the spectrum - a good player, certainly, but some of the things he said could have been implied as insulting to certain people, so I politely advised him to moderate what he said during chess or any other game, as the other party might become offended. In addition to being bipolar, I'm also autistic (high-functioning) but I try very hard to remain within the realm of social normality, and it gives me joy to help others like me achieve the same.

A lot of people don’t realize Mike is actually nice, he just likes to get into his opponents head. Which in chess is brilliant. No one expects shit talk in such a silent game, and it works a lot of the time.
