For those that don't get it, after Magnus takes the rook, the knight jump to b4 also revealed a queen attack on Magnus' knight leaving him with two threatened pieces. He found a way out by moving the rook to d8 but he still lost the knight. Magnus didn't see it until the rook sac, but the kid saw it instantly that's why he was so surprised.

It wasn’t a good move though. They put “impressed” in the title for clickbait I believe. Trying to fa rm views off of lies like everyone does these days
@dontfearthereaper2887 youre a fool if you think that. its an exceptionally strong move and magnus finds almost the only answer possible to it. after the bishop exchange the knight on b2 is trapped. thats why magnus gives it up. white is then technically up in material (a bishop and knight for a rook). black is only better because his rook is way more active and the bishop is well placed, while whites advantage pieces are on the opposite side of blacks king and too far away for any relevant attack (also the knights moves are blocked by a strong centered pawn with the bishops support). if this is not magnus however, every other player would struggle to find an advantage out of the tempo in a 3min blitz game.
@@FrozenScarp its really not a strong move mate. I understand that you are form turkey but thats not an excuse to be so damn biased. Not sure if he was really "impressed/surprised by...calculation." He had two passers on the queenside and an extra pawn on the kingside for the piece. And not to mention, black's unopposed rook. In matter of fact, SF 16.1 gives black a -3.42 advantage even if white were to play the best move at 7:40.
8:00 was the critical position where all was lost. Magnus was threatening to fork knight and bishop here with Rd6, but it didn't work in this instance because white would reply Bc5 skewering rook and king. Thus after white played Kf2 Magnus played Ke8 to prepare the fork.
