Dude, the way you present the watch, wearing it, moving your wrist around, shots from a distance, hand in the pocket, etc are great. It really helps get a sense of the watch as opposed to everyone else shooting their watch with their other hand. Really nice!
Oh man thank you so much for those kind words! Happy to hear that you appreciate the details because it takes quite a bit more work to get those extra shots! But in the end its worth it so that everyone get get a better sense of the watch in real life. Thanks for the support😁
I have 9 Tudor BB watch and my favorite is BB Pro because of it's size profile, its diameter and thickness is perfect for me. I wish Tudor produce more color ways for BB Pro soon.
I appreciate the feedback regarding the on-the-fly micro-adjustment. I have several watches with this function and think it is one of the best features that I watch can have. I really think that this should play into purchasing decisions more. The Glashutte Original and IWC style of micro-adjust clasp is by far the best out there.
I am so looking forward to the call from my AD for the BB Pro. I am not worried about the size as I purchased a BB GMT S&G when they were released, and I love the way it wears.
I’m still loving mine on the rubber strap. I can’t decide if I’ve been lucky or unlucky with accuracy, I’m thinking unlucky as it’s only ever likely to be worse in the future, mines about 5 seconds fast over the last 50 days, admittedly it was about 15 seconds fast at about the 30 day point, either way it’s exceeding expectations. I forgot to mention, it’s nice to see an honest review of the lume, personally I think it’s pretty dismal and I’ve been wondering why reviewers are saying it’s good, thankfully I really don’t care and I worry about the people that think lume is an issue.
nice the rubber strap looks great on it and wow you're getting spring drive levels of accuracy with yours so hopefully it stays close to it! Yeah the lume was not as crazy as i expected it to be, i wish they kept it white to make it even brighter but its good enough for me considering it not a dive watch. And either way its still fun to see them!
I don’t get the thickness argument, the watch looks well balanced with beautiful contoured lugs and is perfectly integrated into a solid top quality Rolex oyster style bracelet. It looks a winner from every angle.
I have to agree with you TWI. For me to find dislikes about the BB Pro is nigh on impossible but every watch has some niggles so like you I'd have to use them instead. I think mine has had more wrist time in the last few months that any other watch with my Pelagos also getting more wrist time than some others. Where as my Pelagos still feels like those comfortable pair of old shoes, the BB58 is the comfy slippers that is certainly helped by the T-Fit clasp. Keep up the great work TWI!
Thank you as always Anthony! Exactly considering no watch will be perfect, the BB Pro is about as perfect as can be! Lol yeah I can see the BB Pro as a comfy pair of slippers, it's pretty incredible how comfy it's managed to be, and how much I'm wearing it over my divers. Let's see what kind of wrist time numbers it can get this year!
I've loved this since I first saw it. Regarding size, I measured the mid case at 1mm thicker than my 58. This was an approximate measurement as I was using a tape measure, but it shows that clever packaging makes this watch comfortable. There is bound to be some hater who bangs on about HOMAGE! To them I say, (and I know you're out there, skulking behind the bushes) ... Grand Seiko Evolution 9 SBGE283. Regarding the accuracy of your movement, you was done mate... my BB GMT has gained 30 seconds since October last year (2021). I hope you continue to enjoy this wonderful watch Mr. I. 😀
Yeah exactly, the thicker midcase was not as big a deal as I initially thought it would be, and in real life it doesnt look or feel like its much thicker than a BB58 thankfully. lol yeah its a polarizing watch for sure but i agree, this has its own tudor flavor to it and if having similar bezels make a watch a copy then yeah the GS evo 9 gmt you mentioned would be the same watch somehow! And for that matter every single diver would be a submarine homage then lol. Fingers crossed my BB Pro reaches the same level of accuracy as your BB GMT!
The BB Pro is a blatant homage of the Exp II 1655, but SO WHAT??? It's not like Rolex is going to roll the 1655 back out again. Why can't their little brother company tap into some of their history? I have zero issue with it being a homage as it's very good to put the Tudor twist to the design and not just be a copy like Steinhart makes.
I bought my prototype BB P01 for all the reasons you love your BB GmT. All steel… no gimmicks… purpose-built… easy to read… lockable bezel for timing things (surprisingly useful)… And above all… I’ve never once seen another person wearing my watch. It’s all to me, and I’m here for it. ❤
With how much you love the BB Pro, I'm curious if you're gonna keep the Steinhart Olko 1655 too? They seem to play a similar role in a collection. Or could this be your next video..? :P
I could not agree more. I've worn my BB Pro about 95% of the time since getting it. It is my favourite-wearing watch to date by a good margin. The clasp, the way it looks indoors vs. outdoors. I've said this multiple times, but I'll say it again: I wouldn't change a single thing about the case size. So glad that you're enjoying yours as much. Great minds think alike!
Great video I just traded my BB GMT that I have owned for 3 years for this watch. Basically for all the same reasons. I will be picking it up on Monday and I can’t wait. Smaller lug to lug & t fit sold me.
Mine has been worn every day for five weeks while traveling. I agree, it fits great. Thickness is negligible because of the size and wearability. I am looking forward to getting back to my Explorer 2, but the Black Bay Pro will stay in my collection.
Thats great to hear, I havent travelled with it yet but I can only imagine how nice the experience must be due to the comfort. The Black Bay Pro is here to stay in my collection too!
My wrist is quite big and GMT it fits perfectly. Having the same height I find the GMT more proportionate comparing with BBpro which is too thick to be 39mm, I try on and I did not really love it. If they manage to reduce the movement height (like Longines did with the Spirit Zulu time) or the Rolex (I have the Exlporer II polar 226570) would be really a perfect watch
I really want one. I’ll need to visit my AD and let them know I’m interested. Wonder how long the wait will be. I only had to wait about 1 month when I put my name down for a BB58 925 last year.
Great video. Lots of information. Covers a lot of questions. Provides so many photos/shots - so helpful since I haven’t been able to see it in person yet. Thank you!
Thank you for your honest and thorough review! I like that you compared the watches, especially the bracelet width, that’s super helpful to me! I have been getting more interested in Tudor, especially the BB Pro and the Pelegos. Maybe some day soon!
Sure thing, I'm glad to hear that you found it useful!! Tudor make some great watches and the pelagos was my first one from them and its still my overall favorite but the BB Pro is a very close second and they make a great duo. Also i made a video about the pelagos a long while back so check it out if you want!
I got to try on a showroom model recently. Considering my 6.25 inch wrist, it was unbearably top heavy to me. Pinching the bracelet to get a feel for size had it swaying from side to side with minimal movement, which makes sense. I also found the bracelet to be quite rattly for that price point, but the clasp was top tier!
Interesting! I have the same size wrist, I tried it on with a strap and what I didn't do was actually buckle it or tighten it at all, just took a pic and looked at the thickness so now I'm really wondering if I was wrong all this time.
Thank you very much for all these points. Made me think more favorably about the watch. Do you have a comparison video between the BB Pro and your previous Explorer II? Is it just the 42mm size that made you sell it or do you think the BB pro is a better value also? Thanks!
I have a question regarding the Blackbay Pro. In particular regarding the holes milled into the underside of the clasp. What do these holes do? The small holes in a line don’t seem to have a purpose. The actual locking mechanism for the quick adjust is the thin wide grooves hidden when in us. I would ask an AD but It’s unlikely they would know.
Excellent video. The BB Pro looks great on you. I'm loving mine. Waiting for my bracelet to arrive. For now, wearing it on an MN strap, which is quite comfortable.
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it! Great to hear that you're loving you BB Pro as well and imagining it on an MN strap is making me want to try it out lol! But as much as I want to wear it on other straps, I simply cant bring myself to take off that amazing bracelet. Enjoy the MN strap combo while you can before the bracelet comes in lol!
Damn, I had convinced myself that I like the Explorer II with the white dial, but poopies, I still like prefer dark dials. But I have the BB58, so it would really be weird to get another watch thats so similar - hmmmm
I'm the same way as you are - super picky about how a watch wears on my wrist. C an not stand to wear a tight watch, especially in the summer. On the fly adjustment should be standard on every luxury sports-oriented watch. This is a great looking watch, I will try one on if my AD ever has one in stock (I did not like the way the GMT wore).
Glad we're on the same page about the pickiness! Ngl sometimes I worry for people with visibly tight watches that look to be cutting off their circulation lol! Yeah quick adjust clasps should be standard on these sorts of watches but given the availability of cheaper quick adjust clasps, i say all watches should come with it lol! Definitely try it on when you get a chance, to me it is far better in person
LOL! 😂 are you deliberately dropping these Black bay pro videos exactly when Adrian at Bark & Jack is uploading his Explorer 2 series? So funny. I had a suspicion with episode 1 ( picking up the BBP at the AD) but it was confirmed today when you went live at the same time as Adrian 😂
I've got mixed feelings. I love the design and immediately got on "the list" when the BB Pro was announced. But I decided to pass after trying it on. It's just too thick for my tastes and I know that would drive me crazy every time I put it on wrist. I just happened to be offered a good deal on an Exp II 1655 last week and picked that up. My AD had both Tudor GMT Pepsi and the pro available, I went back with the Pepsi, it really pops and by comparison the Pro looks more plain and the workmanship of the paint on the hands was poor
WOAH. Don’t sell your BB58 blue. Buy the Forstner Model O bracelet. It’s a non riveted oyster bracelet with an auto extension spring link behind the end of the clasp. It’s been a game changer for my BB58
Longines recently unveiled a GMT watch which is much thinner than this. It is simply inexcusable that Rolex and Tudor get away with shit like this, simply because people are such sheep.

Yeah I would love to try out forstner's BB58 bracelets but unfortunately the writings already on the wall for the BB58. I wouldnt mind getting one for my speedy tho!
I love the watch, but it’s too slab sided. I would understand if it was a chronograph movement. It would be so beautiful in a thinner case, top heavy watches just aren’t as comfortable wearing all day.
Great to hear that it was so comfortable for you, in the end the thickness doesn't matter if it wears well! I've worn the BB GMT Pepsi a few times and I agree it always ends up looking and feeling a bit too big. I didn't get the same impression when wearing the BB Pro. Definitely more interested now Good point about the placement of the cardinal indices, it's nice when everything is lined up nicely👍
Yeah i was surprised by for comfy its been from the start! Seems like we're all pining after the same thing: a BB58 GMT lol! ngl I was sad that the BB GMT didnt work for me bc it was an overall good looking watch, and the bezel colors were spot on. Oh well, i guess we have to keep our fingers crossed! lol yeah i love it when watches have the date window placed perfect in line with the rest of the indices or at least in a symmetrical way like the BB Pro and the BB GMT as it turns out
@@thewatchidiot A BB58 GMT would be incredible no doubt. In the meantime we can enjoy this and the SSK GMTs from Seiko especially with the rotatable bezel. Like you said, a steel rotatable bezel on the BB Pro would have been perfect
A yellow tinted crystal would be an interesting look for sure but in this case everything on the dial has fauxtina, even the date wheel has color matched fauxtina which is interesting. That being said its relatively low key thankfully so it doesnt smack me with dark hues. Most of the time I forget that its there!
@@thewatchidiot yeah your video really showcased the coloring on the date wheel, that’s what made me wonder. Also now I really really want to see one with crisp white everything haha
Oh man, I wish this had crisp white lume, it would fit the "pro" name much more. And let's throw in a oyster bracelet while we're at it😁 at that point it would be pretty much perfect!
Tudor's have one big issue with all of their clasps (as far as I know), my BB36 has it, it looks like the Pro does and that is the polished swing arm. What happens is as soon as it touches skin it sticks and that clasp isn't going anywhere however if the bracelet is loose the watch head definitely can move and it creates a tension on your skin on the bottom of your wrist. It can be very uncomfortable. I really wish they would brush that part so it could glide more.
I cannot believe the amount of bitching over minimal issues, "if your wrist is between a 6.7 inches and 6.9 this watch is for you" C'mon man not every watch is prefect for every wrist a little flexibility is required. I have a 7 inch wrist, I bought a Omega Seamaster Planet ocean a huge watch and after a year of enjoyable use I said "I think this watch is just little too big" sold it bought a Pelagos and I am good to go. People who are disecting everything about a a watch after a month well do your research before you buy the watch and stop with the wah wah wah wah
You wear it on the joint of your wrist 💀 if you wore watches a little higher up (how they're meant to be worn) you wouldn't have issues with some watches cutting circulation off. You should be able to full move your hand with zero restrictions.
No, I would actually classify this piece as a “Third rate shitter” it should only be worn by semi literate overstays who don’t have papers to be in the country.

Love this watch too but the gripe I have is the poor lume on the minute hand. Looks good on yours though.
Appreciate the follow up video. I can’t wait to get this watch. That t-fit adjustment is so great. Does it pick up scratches easily?
Great video. How does it compare to the Steinhart in Wrist Presence Satisfaction?
If they would just make the bb58 divers with the t-fit clasp, none of us would need to buy another watch
Which one is better for daily beater? This Pro or 58?
58

Tudor's have one big issue with all of their clasps (as far as I know), my BB36 has it, it looks like the Pro does and that is the polished swing arm. What happens is as soon as it touches skin it sticks and that clasp isn't going anywhere however if the bracelet is loose the watch head definitely can move and it creates a tension on your skin on the bottom of your wrist. It can be very uncomfortable. I really wish they would brush that part so it could glide more.
What do you say at the beginning of your videos!?! Please help
"good people of RUclips"
Thank you🙏🙏🙏
I cannot believe the amount of bitching over minimal issues, "if your wrist is between a 6.7 inches and 6.9 this watch is for you" C'mon man not every watch is prefect for every wrist a little flexibility is required.
This watch is awesome, unfortunately when I got mine I never even took it out of the box. If anyone is interested let me know haha
You wear it on the joint of your wrist 💀 if you wore watches a little higher up (how they're meant to be worn) you wouldn't have issues with some watches cutting circulation off. You should be able to full move your hand with zero restrictions.
Sorry for the low quality pun, but flipping your Sinn 556 was… idiotic.
loooool yeah the 556 was a great watch but its hard to justify having nearly $1000 sitting and only being worn 7-8 times a year!
Sorry but that thickness compromise is a joke. If you can't bother making a real GMT, then just don't.
Can you say your intro slower? It sounds like you’re saying good Pee pee RUclips, instead of good people of RUclips.
It’s a knock off Rolex. “Second rate shitter” as explained by a fellow Indian watch connoisseur Ash Z.
No, I would actually classify this piece as a “Third rate shitter” it should only be worn by semi literate overstays who don’t have papers to be in the country.
get the watch on ur wrist and off your knuckle
