Most people are worried about the thickness on this model , however the watch does not wear like the specs on paper. I personally tried on the watch and it wears extremely well . Great release Tudor
My favorite watch right now. I just can’t seem to take it off. The thickness is a non-issue for me personally. It’s a compact, robust and amazing piece !
As someone that has criticised your voice inflection previously, I just wanted to say this is the best and most thorough and balanced review I’ve seen of this piece. And I’ve watched a lot of reviews. I own the piece in this iteration with the strap and despite being extremely critical upon the first images I saw, in the metal this thing is an absolute toolish beauty
Thanks very much David! I try and aim to be as fair and balanced as possible. Also my technique has improved a lot since my first videos under the old channel name. Back then I didn't have a dedicated microphone or the ability to edit/retake sections of audio, so I can see why it would have been more wooden.
I got this on bracelet and love it. Thickness not a problem for me, it being a tool watch. I have the 58 and GMT it sits between the two from a wearing perspective, having less heft on the wrist than the GMT. Oh and my GMT is an early one and I've not had any issues with the movement. I appreciate that some have though.
I tried it on and really liked it. The thickness is not an issue at all really. If I wasn’t saving up for the new Navitimer, I’d surely have gotten this.
I've owned two Tudors... and I'll say nobody ever complimented them like my Rolex or orange-dial Doxa Sub 300. Buy a Tudor if you like them or don't want to pay $10k for a Rolex. However, highly recommend Sinn, Doxa, and Damasko if you want a watch you'll be proud of for $2k.
Excellent review of a fantastic watch. The latest MT5652 movements are super accurate... there's a Pro shaped hole in my collection that is begging to be filled!
I have a 6.2 inch wrist. Probably the smallest mens wrist out of anyone I know and I have just picked this up on the bracelet after many many weeks of worrying about the thickness. Its such a non issue on the wrist and actually the heft is what i love about this watch. If it looks great on my wrist.... then its going to look great on yours.
Excellent review. I think the Pro is a great looking watch which reminds me of the Rolex 1655. I own a BB58 black dial and love it, but this watch is too tall for my tastes.
Just got one on bracelet - the size is not an issue for me at all. Smaller than a 41, but larger than a 58. It wears well, and the adjustable clasp is top notch! It wears and looks smaller than the Pepsi version. The thickness is being over analyzed!
It's definitely the popular hit from Watches and Wonders 2022. The only other watches I can think of with solid blocks of lume are from Vertex.... I'm sure there must be others?? It's a cool detail and shouts to it's ' Tool Watch ' intentions. Yet to try one on but I'm sure to soon.
It's arguably a homage, but not a knock off, since Tudor and Rolex were founded and are currently owned by the same person/foundation. The word homage was been overused by people who want to make a quick buck selling design look alikes (knock offs).
Although this is a lovely watch (I tried it out) it underlines how Tudor absolutely needs to procure a thinner movement for its GMT and chronos. I also found the bezel writing a tiny bit small.
Id have to disagree. I have the pepsi and panda and both wear really well on my 7inch wrist. Id say that the panda is the best watch under 5k on the entire from any brand.
Great review and I love the apathetically of the Pro however I have two points. Firstly, 14.6mm is an overwhelming issue for the Tudor Pepsi and there is no way to overlook that issue here. Secondly, I know for a fact that movements in the Tudor Pepsi as late as 2021 have experienced the date issue so we’ll have to wait and see on the Pro. Cheers
Haters gotta Hate lol No issues with my 2021 GMT date so was more than happy to buy the Pro yesterday 😉 People that I have seen try the Pro love it and did not question the thickness. What Watch did you buy instead?
@@alfieakaronaldog Not sure about the hater's comment but I bought a Pelagos LHD. Why? I also own a Black Bay 58. I've owned the other Pelagos Blue and Black models and the Black Bay 41 Blue ETA and Black models. What's your point? I'm a Tudor fanboy, it doesn't mean I can't have an opinion on the thickness of the GMT's... Cheers
@@fire_watch7735 Well I guess I got that wrong if that’s the case and I apologise 😇 Lots of people (content creators and commenters) seem to be looking for issues with the Pro. Obviously people have their own opinions on what they like, and it’s great to point any aspect of a watch out to prospective buyers and watch lovers, but its definitely ‘knives out’ for certain models and brands lol.
@@alfieakaronaldog Ya _ I'm a Tudor fanboy for sure. I also have 8.5" left wrist and nearly 9" right wrist so no matter what worst I wear my watches I can accommodate large watches. I'll admit though that I typically favor watches with dimensions similar to Rolex sports models however I've owned over a hundred watches and I love my Panerai's, Large GS or Seiko divers, etc. as well.Cheers
@@fire_watch7735 I just got a Tissot Seastar 2000 Proffesional in Teal. On my upper limit size wise, but would be great for you. Enjoy your watches Buddy 🤪
14.6mm reads awfully thick. I'm surprised Tudor hasn't developed a thinner GMT movement yet. They've certainly had enough time to do so. It's also strange that they didn't just go all the way and also copy the 1655's marker layout, since they copied the bezel and 24 hour hand, and this is obviously a 1655 homage/redux.
It’s not metas so why would he mention that? Mate this is watches, everything is a homage to something - the original “Steve McQueen” was a homage to the Bulova Accutron Astronaut technically as it had just as many similarities as the Explorer has to this.
I mean, it’s a homage brand. I don’t know how you can develop any kind of your own identity if most of your watches are just derivatives of vintage rolexes.
its not a homage brand though is it. It high quality manufacture using in-house movements and smashing the likes of omega and everyone around them out of the water at a certain price point. They are Rolex little brother but the days of saying poor man’s rolex are for the ignorant. And yes, I have Tudors as well as rolex and omega.
@@carlmoulton5719 are you serious? It literally pays tributes to past Rolex models by replicating them almost 1 to 1. Every model is just a cheaper version of the current Rolex line up and in the past years with hype-models being unaccessible they capitalized on it by replicating the gmt and Daytona and now pro. Lastly Walsdorf created Tudor as a cheaper alternative to Rolex with high quality standards. That said being quality homage is the core idea of Tudor. @@carlmoulton5719 to add to that, they only have 1 base in house movement (5602) which was released in 2015. Before that they relied on ETA. Current chrono line up uses Breitling’s B01 as a part of their swap deal
Another video repeating the same specs everyone else covers. Sorry , perhaps it’s my own fault watching these videos hoping to hear something different
Tried this on recently and it’s stunning on the wrist, with that thickness being irrelevant when worn. Great video James, thank you! 👍🏻

Another great presentation boys. I'm in the camp of neither. I'm a bit indifferent to this one.
Cheers! And that's understandable. At the end of the day, it's the same base black bay design with some tweaks.
Hi thank you. Great video. There was definitely a problem with the GMT having experienced it myself in 2020 within a could of days of ownership.
I do not have a need for a GMT but it .is a beautiful watch .
This was a cool and unexpected release from Tudor. I still am holding out for a Pepsi GMT BB58 under 13mm thick.
Absolutely love it. I want one.
