Sorry but it is physically impossible to "accidentally" fall FROM an escalator. People accidentally fall DOWN or ON escalators. Update: Inquirer reported the 32 year old man was sitting on the escalator railing. He played the stupid game and he won the stupid prize.
I was there , I worked as an EMT there. He was highly intoxicated and playing on the escalator rail. His girlfriend tried to get him down but he ended up falling over the rail and to the floor.

The only videos of falling from escalators are idiots (young men showing off) doing stupid stuff like holding onto the moving rail while hanging from it then reaching the top and unable to climb back, then SPLAT!
