I would’ve gladly watched a feature length version of this episode. “What If” really took it up a notch with this one. Edit: I’m honestly disgusted to see so much sexism in the responses to this episode. Be better.
I just wish this wasn't in What If. I'd really want MARVEL characters to get spotlight. She should have gotten a special presentation like Werewolf by Night.
I love how The Watcher, Captain Carter and Strange Supreme are the main characters in What If. They’re always involved in the multiversal crisis event.
Might be my favourite episode of the season just due to it being completely original. I know "what ifs" are usually based on existing concepts, but I'm glad they took a chance with this one.
This ep was, for me, the best 30 minutes of content marvel has ever put on screen. I said what I said. I need more Kahhori. I need an ongoing book featuring her. I need her in movies. In more shows. I need it all, and I need it immediately ❤️
Disney's first run at animated representation of Native Americans: What if these over-sexualized versions of real historical figures were star crossed lovers and created localized peace between the settlers and the indigenous people? Disney's current run at animated representation of Native Americans: What if the indigenous people of the "new world" had the power to kick the colonizers out and facilitate world peace that way? Not gonna lie, I'm digging the latter question more. I need a Kahhori Funko Pop now.
This has to be my favourite episode so far, I loved the story it was different loved the characters apart from the spainish peeps in this. I adore kahhori. Great reaction as always Omn1 ❤
It's my favourite What If episode ever. I had no idea it would be this beautiful! More Indigenous stories please, Marvel! More Kahhori! I need a comic! And not set in modern day, back in her time period
Loved it! These are the types of History "What Ifs" I played with my kids when they were growing up. One of the ones I remember vividly is; "What if Mary, Elizabeth, and Henry had chose to rule together (with the eldest taking the primary position and the other two being king and queen consort) while all were alive and followed their own form of succession. Mary was Queen because she was the eldest, then when she passed Elizabeth became the Primary, etc. They loved playing this because it helped build their imagination, I loved it for the same reason but as their Mom I loved them being excited to learn too!
We've had several really good episodes this season (and one only ok one), but this is definitely the best so far. "What if" isn't just about "what if a character we know was in a different situation" but can also be "what if a power we know was used by someone new". Of course, we haven't really seen the space stone's power used very much, it's mostly just Captain Marvel. This clearly ties in to the end of last episode, so I'm guessing it ties in to the remainder of the season too. I hope they find a way to bring Kahhori into the live action MCU.
@@darryljack6612 Episode 2, "What If Peter Quill Attacked Earth's Mightiest Heroes?" I really liked the team, and there were a couple of good bits, but the story as a whole was a bit blah.
The tesseract is quite the thing, being able to give a variety of powers like Captain Marvel, Kahhori, and Hydra Stomper. Also Strange did give a warning to Kahhori in his worlds, he says she got world peace but then made a jab saying it would last and yeah soon there would be those who see Kahhori as some kind of aggressor for making others choose peace. Second, the use of language, music, and sound design was superb. I think my favorite moment was when he looked up into the trees at all the glowing eyes and that beautiful hopeful music started!
This was a genius episode on so many levels. I’m excited to see how Kahlori will fit in to whatever Dr. Strange is putting together…and hopefully going forward into the live action MCU as well. Just a side note here, I just found out the the actor who voiced Kahlori is of Mohawk decent, we’ll see her (playing someone different but of Native decent) in Echo and she’s the one portraying Katara in the live action Avatar:the Last Airbrender series coming next year. 😊
This episode was so beautifully done, & I'm already loving this new character & i can't wait to see what else they do with her, like will she come to live action eventually? & also will she be some how connected in anyway to ECHO? Just a few things to think about or maybe she's connected to Warpath from The X-Men/X-Force some how, just a few things to think about.

"Oh no they gonna be mad in Spain after this." Dude anyone that knows history is gonna be mad obviously and specially those when it's about you, not my case but still is important. Spain didn't even exist as a Kingdom, it was Castile-Leon, Navarre and Aragon first of all. Second, the show says they are from the Mohawk tribe, if my memory is correct that's North-East America, which fits with the background world in the episode, however no Iberian power was even near the region. It was the Dutch that were there... hmm I wonder why they did that. The funny little thing is Queen Isabel actually cared about the well-being of the indigenous people's in America (read her will), contrary to what the episode characterized her. That entire piece is simply something you don't do in good conscience and was mis/disinformation or simply just outright disgusting lying, even native Americans are appalled by the omission of that teny tiny major fact. If anything the Dutch were the actual ones that committed most of atrocities associated with colonialism but I guess needs to Spain bad. Just look at Indonesia's historical tendencies and you can see who they learned that from. This entire story is a fictional reality based on the Black Legend, THAT is outright Anti-Spain propaganda created by the Dutch and guess who marvel is bailing out. But oh no people shouldn't be mad because marvel spreads historical lies
And let's be honest here. This episode was trash tier terrible with no connection to marvel comics or fans actual requests. Inconsistencies everywhere(besides the obvious historical lol), characters that learn too fast, story that makes no sense to the rest of the series or marvel in general. the only savable moment is 1 part of when the 'Spaniard Conquistadores' go on a frontal assault which has an interesting camera angles of the fight
This episode was a let down, mostly because of Kahhori. She is OP, with a set of powers with no clear theme (super speed, super strength, telekinesis, force field manipulation or whatever it was, etc.) and excels in pretty much everything instantly, doing better than people that had those powers for a lifetime. She just has the right power at the right time for the plot to progress. The best characters in the MCU are flawed individuals that struggle to overcome their problems and it’s their struggle that makes their story arcs compelling. She has no weaknesses, no character development, no struggle. In other words, nothing of interest. I wish they had done a better job with this story.
You just don't understand the power of the space stone, that's what she is imbued with. Instantaneous movement anywhere, or causing/stopping movement of anything. Momentum creates force, and a form of invulnerability. The only thing I disagree with is the not aging part which should be the power of the time stone, but it's not a far stretch. She's basically an alternative universes version of captain marvel. Its a 30min show, so like all what ifs it doesn't have time for slow character development.
"Many Hispanics are proud of our Spanish and indigenous heritage. This representation by Marvel is offensive to us, to our indigenous and Spanish ancestors. Queen Isabel of Spain cared about the well-being of the indigenous people in America (read her will), something that Queen Isabel of England did not do. There's always a dissenter regarding a video. This episode was terrible. I know it's an alternate universe, but give me a break! Another girl who's the key to everything. A lot of inconsistencies here. The Sky World is a different planet because of the multiple moons in the sky. Only Kahhori, of course, is the one to figure out how to return to her world. She doesn't give any instructions, but the rest of the Mohawks also figure out how to return. How come the Conquistadors, who come to the Sky World don't get the same powers. Aren't they going to have the same powers coming through the portal? Or only evil white men can't obtain powers coming into the Sky World? What a joke! Wouldn't the Conquistadors come back through the portal to help the Spanish and take them to the lake too? It's all one-sided. Of course, there's no King Ferdinand when Kahhori and the Mohawks come to the Spanish court. Why wouldn't the Mohawks conquer the Spanish after the Spanish destroyed their villages? Do you mean all-powerful beings are going to make peace with people they can easily conquer, or just evil White Men do that? Why would Strange Supreme only recruit Kahhori, when you can recruit all of her people and have a powerful army? It's just poor writing. Another all-girl power finale with Stange Supreme. Is he going to be a side character in the finale with Kahhori, Captain Carter, and whoever else he recruits in the next two episodes? Marvel hasn't learned anything and continues to push secondary or tertiary characters no one cares about like "Echo". Did the failure of "The Marvels" teach them anything. I'll admit this season is better than season 1, but it's still pushing girls who are the key to everything. To me, this was the worst episode of season 2 so far. Why recruit Captain Carter, when you have Kahhori who is as powerful as Captain Marvel? Marvel is a complete mess. I'll watch until the finale, but I won't watch season 3. The one episode I'd like to see is Captain America from another universe (not Earth-616) who lost his Peggy Carter in his universe and meets Captain Carter,. They have an adventure, fall in love with each other, become a power couple, marry, and have kids. Now that's a spin-off series I'd be interested in. No interest in a live-action/animated Kahhori series, just like I don't have any interest in "Echo". Write a better storyline where Kahhori goes through a hero journey and isn't the key to everything and isn't all-powerful, then I might have an interest to check it out.
We get it - you don't like powerful women or different kinds of stories than you're used to. Expand your mind. Women exist. We can be just as and more powerful than men. Real men aren't intimidated by powerful women. And we want representation. Suck it up snowflake!

No interest in a live-action/animated Kahhori series, just like I don't have any interest in "Echo". Write a better storyline where Kahhori goes through a hero journey and isn't the key to everything and isn't all-powerful, then I might have an interest to check it out.
keep crying
We get it - you don't like powerful women or different kinds of stories than you're used to. Expand your mind. Women exist. We can be just as and more powerful than men. Real men aren't intimidated by powerful women. And we want representation. Suck it up snowflake!
@@madi-cw4du I'm entitled to my opinion just like everyone else is. You don't have to read or like my comment, but I can express my opinion. We can agree to disagree.
Way to show your lack of media literacy skills...
@@jollyrayda If you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. It's amazing how people need to criticize someone, especially if they don't agree with their opinions. I'm sure you're a Rogue Scholar when it comes to Media Literary Skills.
This episode had me falling to sleep near the end. I just wasn’t that interested. I think the concept might have had something to it, but a half hour cartoon in which we go back to the Tessaract, yet again, wasn’t doing it for me.
i dont get why people liked this one, it was sooooo boring
Different tastes wow shocking concept
