I am using black tulle this year, and some white that I used last year. The white is rotting pretty fast, but I got 3 lawn trash bags full of it for $1 at an auction a few years back. It was from a wedding. I harvested and cooked my first broccolini last night for this year. I sautéed it, and it was so delicious. I completely covered it in tulle right after I planted it because we have moths that loved laying their eggs on it last year. Thank you for showing us how you used the tubing without stakes. ❤😊😊❤

The irrigation tubing is a great idea and I have some. Just need the tulle. I am having raccoons raiding my bird feeders at night. A mom and her 2 babies. Never had a problem before in all these years. Not happy😢.

It is wonderful. I have a similar system. My adversaries are the neighborhood's chicken on the loose, some unidentified vegetable lovers, intense La Niña sun and irregular rain patterns. Said that, I have some devices, elevated surfaces to have plants ready to harvest.

Hi Robbie, Why can't we see you? While we love listening to you (and learning, as usual), we'd appreciate a glimpse of your sweet face, too. Well, fans and followers can be irritating sometimes, isn't it?

You know, I bet if you bought a spool of 1/8th or even 1/16th bungee cord, you would be able to make giant rubberbands that would fit around your totes, just under the lip at the top. Once tied together, you could tuck the tulle edges inside it, all the way around. That stuff is super thin, but it's also super strong. FYI, you could get the thicker cord, but the costs go up.... and with the amount you would need, it's not worth it.
I am a recent convert to the tubing -- made a giant arch from one container plant, over a little walkway, and into a second plant container. I've got morning glory vines climbing over it. I already plan to make large cages for my tomato plants next year Way better than those weenie commercial wire cages.

Hi Robbie and everyone. The squirrels have destroyed my corn. I wrapped the bottom stalk and the corn cobs that were growing and the squirrels just ripped right through the tulle. Does anyone have any more ideas?
