    @EmbeddedWithin 3 года назад +3

    All of these “bricks needed to get to ________ planet” are inaccurate. First of alll, planets aren’t stationary. 2nd, their orbits aren’t PERFECTLY circular, as a planet’s Apoapsis and Periapsis varies from planet to planet, and constantly changing, it will be very hard to build it in the FIRST PLACE. 3rd, gravity will be a HUGE problem. 4th, Orbital Debris. A single screw in orbit can travel at approximately 10x the speed of sound. Just a single one of those and your Lego tower is now floating with no foundation. Speaking of foundation,from our experience as kids, you need a big foundation to support a long tower.. Plus there is no “up and down” in space.

    • @subwarpspeed
      @subwarpspeed 2 года назад

      I can look past the practical points, it's just to compare the distance and brick heights. The moon varies with ~5% (?) (me looking at lunar distance wikipedia article and estimating) from its time-averaged accepted value. But to the other planets then the comparisons I agree is dumbed down too much since they don't orbit around earth.
