- Re-Get or Regret??… this is an episode where we go over a handful of recently emptied bottles and explain whether we liked or didn’t like them… whether we would rebuy them again in the future and if there was any drastic change of the whiskey while going through the bottle… Enjoy!!

For scotch, you 100% need to get Lagavulin 16
@@dannydodd4452 that’s definitely on my future list…I keep saying I am going to take a break on buying more alcohol since I have so many in the sack already.. Then…. Steve shows up with another box… lol
The staples of the peated (smoky) scotch category are Lagavulin 16, Ardbeg's lineup and Laphroaig.

That Woodford rye is what I was buying when I first started drinking whiskey and old fashioneds…great for $30 for sure

I'm a bourbon drinker but try to get into scotch and other whiskeys. I really like Glenmorangie Lasanta also. Some scotches that are rebuys for me are Talisker 10, Benromach 10, Dewars 12, Highland Park Cask Strength. If you are near a Total Wine, the Glen Fohdry 12 is a decent bargain for price and proof and you can buy the 50ml bottles to try it out.

Never heard of most of those, never buy scotch or finished whiskey, Early Times bib is Great 👍. Disappeared here in michigan lately 😢. Cheers 😉🥃

I do love that Rock Town bourbon. Tough to find but I get them when I see them. I agree about the Old Pepper Bourbon. The one in the decanter is great but that one is just okay. The Old Pepper rye though is very good. You said it was in the sack. Next time you are looking for a rye to review reach into that bag. It's a good one

@@lesscashmoremash If you are looking for something after Lasanta then Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban is the next step up in the line. It's finished in port so it's more intense than the Lasanta. You might also look at the Glendronach 12, Tamdu 12 and Glenallachie 12. These are all finished in sherry like the Lasanta. Glenallachie 10 and Abelour Abunadh are cask strength sherry bombs. Naked malt is a cheaper blended malt whisky option if you are on a budget. These are not peated and are focused on the fruity and sherry

Haven’t had the rock town but I believe it is part of the lost lantern series on Seelbach. The others I have had or tried and other than the WP I’d buy them all again. The WP 10 rye year was a good bottle just a bit spendy. Enjoy!!

Check out The Bull Run Distillery…..finished the the 15 year old Pinot finished, it was excellent. Prices are really good
