This is one of my favorite horror movies. Just stumbled upon it one day while browsing Netflix and was blown away
Yeah I was kinda surprised this isn’t more talked about in the horror community as one of the better more recent flicks
@@therobw moder. The daughter of loki
This was a great flick and when I saw it I didn’t recognize the lead actor is Rafe Spall… he’s one of “the Andy’s” from Hot Fuzz! If you haven’t seen that, watch it!! Cornetto Trilogy: Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, World’s End (he’s in all 3 of them actually)
That’s where I recognize him! Thanks for pointing that out to me haha
Nice pick Rob! The Ritual is one of the best creature features of the last ten years. It's such a fantastic design and it takes its time to build a super creepy atmosphere up to the reveal.
Yeah I really dug the tension this movie built. Thanks for watching Pat!
Moder craves worship and praise more than anything else.
Luke defied her and she doesn't like that too much. That's why she kept trying to get him to bow down. Her own way of saying: "You gonna worship me one way or the other. Or I'll kill you where you stand." When Luke yelled back at her, it was huge "FUCK YOU!" You could feel it for him and that was a huge moment. Total goosebumps.
The Ritual is such a great yet, very underrated horror gem that doesn't get talked enough too much. I loved pretty much everything about it. The story, themes, characters, small humor, the set designs, gore effects, the creature design for Moder, the visuals, the cinematography and musical score by Ben Lovett. Glad you liked this movie dude.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts my man!
The monster is the God Loki definitely not the Marvel version. He promises you eternal life if you worship him, but his version of eternal life is the people u saw in that church that he burned. You can only worship him
Marvel movies these days wouldn’t have the B**ls to do something like this
It wasn't Loki, it was a b@stard offspring of Loki from original Norse mythology.
@@MonocerosC Yup, you're right
Are you dumb
Yeah i remember watching this movie and being surprised that it was pretty good.
Yeah, like this movie came out of nowhere and was sneaky really good
My favorite horror movie, I love the setting and monster.
This was probably one of the best creature features I’ve seen in recent years. I Recommend the 2018 British film CALIBRE for a good thriller since you liked DONT BREATHE
Always enjoy your reactions Rob!
Appreciate the recommendation dude!
I LOVE THIS MOVIE OMG.
SCARY FOLKTALE ONES ABOUT ANCIENT BEINGS LIKE THIS ARE GREAT.
Are there any others you recommend?
@@therobw Sorry for typing in all caps, I got a littl excited when I saw the upload.
Anyways, you yourself might not like them, but there's Sator 2019, The Hallow (not Hollow) 2015, and these last few might not be top recommended, since they're isn't too many movies about ancient beings from folk lore that I know of, but Trollhunter 2010, Pyewacket 2017 (from same producers who did The VVitch), and lastly Southbound 2015.
@@MonocerosC haha no worries! Troll hunter and Southbound are definitely on the watch list
Don’t see this movie covered enough so thanks for choosing. I think you’d enjoy Caveat and the short film The Other Side of the Box.
Appreciate the recs dude!
Based on the novel 'The Ritual' by Adam Nevill.
Hey Rob! I love this movie. I watched it when it was new. 2 Interesting things: Those things he burned were people who worshipped it. It gifts people longer lives or "imortality". But not for the people but for itself so it can get worshipped longer by them.
and yes the reason why he could even hurt it in the end was because he did finally come to terms with what happened and fought his fear, a fear that this god projected to him over and over in the woods.
Thanks for the backstory Kaze! This was definitely a cool movie
I watched this a long time ago i love this movie. Just recently i found out it's a book
Oh I had no idea
This is such an underrated gem!! Love your reaction❤
lessgooooo rob with another banger 🔥🔥
Yeahhh buddy!!!
Great reaction, I stumbled across this movie a couple years ago and it’s one of my favorites now, funny video btw 👍🏻
Yaaaaaayy this movie surprised me, loved it, hope your well friend gonna binge your clips today:)

Great reaction! Love this movie! The lore is great. Keep up the great work!
Yeah I really dug this flick! Thanks for watching 🤙🏻🤙🏻
subbed m8, love your reactions specially the horror stuff. xx from the UK
Thanks my man!
I watched this and The Void right around the same time. This is for sure the better movie. The Void is great but it’s low budget practical stuff.
The void is on the watch list!
@@therobw I think you’ll like it…
Sick reaction!! Keep up the dope work bro 🤙🏼🤙🏼
Thanks dude
Glad you enjoyed some British Horror 🇬🇧
Got any other British Horror recommendations?
@@therobw Yeah sure. We dont have many though sadly. Usually our best just go to work in Hollywood or nmaking tv series these days (black mirror etc) Heres ones id say go watch:
1.The Descent (2004)
2. Creep (2004)
3. 28 Days later (2002)
4. 28 Weeks Later
4. Eden Lake (2010)
5. Dog Soldiers (2002)
6.You're Next ( 2011)
7.Saint Maud (2019)
8.The Woman in Black (2012)
9. The Descent: Part 2
10. Men (2022)
11.The Hole (2001) (not really horror more thriller)
12. Dead Mans Shoes
One of my favorite horror movies inside the woods!!
never heard of this movie but it sounds interesting nothing better than watching a scary movie on a rainy day
Totally!
@@therobw that movie was good have you ever seen The haunting of Whaley House before
Looking good Rob! 🎉
Aww I didn’t realize you had a kitty 🐈⬛ haha I was just rewatching and just now noticed
The monster is the son of Loki from the norse mythology
🤘🏻🤘🏻
For the Cat Rituals: they make couch arm protectors. I had to get some last year when I had 6 foster kittens and thought they were gonna tear down my house.
Haha 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻
This could have all been avoided if they had a personal locator beacon. Shout out to Dave Paulides lol
Swear I was the one who recommended this for u tbh
Probably
Yeah, I should've told you 'bout this movie, which I saw a couple of years ago, and it is actually one of the best movies Netflix released. Another great (imo) Netflix movie is ''Hold the Dark'' by Jeremy Saulnier ('''Murder Party'', 'Blue Ruin'' & ''Green Room'').
Nice! I’ll add it to the watch list 🤙🏻
A complaint- sheesh, I love the movies you watch man- 😂❤
🤙🏻🤙🏻
This movie is scary but so good!!
Definitely
Another cool pick. I remember liking this but I wanted to know more about the antagonists.
I kinda like how they left it mysterious
@@therobw Yeah it definitely still works
@Lara Someone mentioned it's based on a book. So maybe there's more info there! Also, there's Swedish/Scandinavian lore throughout.
@@sarahwhite4906 Cool! Thanx!
This is one of the best horror movies on Netflix. His House is decent as well. Creep and Creep 2 are interesting, but feel more like character studies than horror movies.
Creep reaction is coming up soon so no spoilers!
This movie was great! Hopefully you get enough people to recommend Antlers because it’s awesome and Wendigos are freakin terrifying.
If Antlers has Wendigos in it than i'm down!
Yeah Antlers is good too
I really enjoyed this movie. Hope you liked it
Glad you liked it 👍
@@stevenjones916 haha I really dug this flick
Moder is the creature’s name. Child of Loki…
Love this movie!
Your Fred Gwynn is a-ok bubba. But you gotta say “Sometimes, dead is betta”
😂😂😂
Having recently watched this. It was fun to see you react to it. I don’t jump scare. 😂. It looks like a Moose with a parasite coming out the front 😂. But I’m high bro. 😂
Haha happy Sunday Will!
Rob you should put A Cure For Wellness on your list if you haven’t seen it. I’d love to hear your take on it!! 🎉🎉😊
I’ll add it to the list!
Great reaction as always, now go give Stella a pat for me :)
I’m on it!
18:17 I thought you were hiding behind the remote 😂😭
Maybe I was?!? Haha
I forgot about this movie! It was such a good watch! I’m glad you enjoyed it and seeing you react to the creature. That was a great design! Spoopy for sure 🫣
Super spooopy!
Watching it now.... Dude where did u get your knit hat? Looks cool af
I think urban outfitters? Thanks for watching Ricardo!
Yessss. Dunno if it was my rec ypu saw or someone else’s (edit: fate hath spoken) , but this is a hidden gem. The VVitch (Witch) is another cool forest horror movie.
Love the atmosphere in this one. Something so terrifying about being in the wilderness and experiencing supernatural shit that just doesn’t hit the same in a house or something. Sorta wish he died, but that’s just me being dark lol
It probably was your rec that sparked this! Sorry I didn’t give you a shoutout :/ but yeah, totally agree with what you said there
Great pick. That was a fun watch
Thanks J!
@@therobw You already know.
Love this movie! The book is great too, would def recommend.
Hell yeah! Checked out your channel. You got some dope music dude! Subbed
@@therobw appreciate it dude!!!
Yea this movie is great, I'd forgotten about it
Perfect excuse to eat some snacks and watch it with me!
Adore this movie
❤️
this was a reallly good movie!
hell yeah it was!
Great reaction and this movie is awesome.
A movie with a similar tone is The Last Will & Testament of Rosalind Leigh. You should check that out and I’m not sure if you’ve checked out The Fourth Kind yet.
Cheers! 🤙😌
The fourth kind has been on my to watch list for so long!
I never get notifications damn it!! And I check it every time. 😠🤬😓
Lol can’t rely on YT ever
More Horror movies:👍
In The Tall Grass
The Green Inferno
It Follows
Color out of Space
Underwater
The Thing 2011
Coherence
Beach House
The Void
Hellraiser 2022
Thanks for the list dude!
@therobw I just noticed you did 2 from the list already 😅
Have you seen 'Deep Rising'? Treat Williams will be missed
I have not but my dad loves that movie. Maybe that’ll be a good reaction soon! Thanks for the suggestion
Child of loki. Moder
this movie made me jump fr 😅
Haha dude I was jumping this whole movie!
Dude I gotta get some surround sound for my setup
Absolutely
Moder is the name.
have you watched hereditary, midsommar, any of the conjuring or annabelle movies? if not u should react
Putting Hereditary and Annabelle in the same recommendations is pretty funny to me lol. One is actually pretty damn disturbing and a true horror movie that many people are satisfied with after the first watch, the other is something you'd just throw on on a Friday with some popcorn and watch like any other casual movie lol
Have you seen 'Mandy' yet with Nick Cage?
Love that movie!
dub
Ya boi
The fact that you arent say with the lights off is the real horror. Come on man..
Tbh it is a lot darker in the room than it looks on the webcam but I agree with you. Watching this in pitch black is the move
