    However, since then I've learned about that big facial artery and I am scared to get it done again.

    I have a question! When you are doing the fanning of the accordion line around the oral commissure, how deep are you with the cannula? Is it more superficial than if you were treating the pyriform fossa/NL folds, or is it also as deep? Thank you!

      I suggest for accordion lines to use a syringe, go into the dermis with a thick filler to fill those individually (fanning technique +aspiration). Although cannulas are safe, they are better for deeper lines.

      how would you treat accordion lines?
      I have deep accordion lines when I smile
      I want to get filler but I don’t know how deep I should inject to get rid of them and also be „safe“ at the same time.
      This practitioner mentioned that it has to be injected superficial
      But wouldn’t it be too visible if injected so superficially?

    First let me say, “Thank You!” for all of your wonderful cosmeceutical advise. You’re simply amazing! I was curious when using your fanning technique to address the nasolabial folds, marionette & accordion lines…how much filler do you use on each side above & below the mouth? I know you said skin type & thickness play a role in determining the amount used….I was looking for the minimum you would recommend starting with? Fantastic video super informative 😊

  • @NaomiBright101
    @NaomiBright101 3 года назад +4

    Thank you Dan
    But how to do fanning technique superficially is facial artery lay superficially to fill nasolabial folds…
    I remember you said that most artery occlusion happened unfortunately from cannula. Thank you🙏

    • @superdiygirl481
      @superdiygirl481 2 года назад +1

      The facial artery in the middle part of the nasolabial fold lays in the middle of all 3 main facial layers, so going superficially while aspirating would be safe. Cannulas can cause vascular occlusion if injected at a certain force and speed, go extremely slow with larger cannulas

    Dan is not a doctor everyone he is a nurse practitioner and I would go to any qualified Nurse or nurse practitioner for fillers rather a doctor. the most experienced, gentle injectors are nurses, so much applause to Dan. Think of it this way ....most nurse injectors do it because it’s their passion doctors do it as a sideline to their actual medical practice. for most nurses that is all they do....inject, and some of the most gifted injectors are nurses.

I don't see the possibility of filling my cheeks cos it will not lift them up effectively to minimise the folds.

      The cannula won’t penetrate the arteries whereas the needle would damage the arterie and maybe even occlude it . The deep injection in the nasolabial fold is done on the bone to be safe and one should *ALWAYS* aspirate !

    That's so good to know. I wanted to smoothen my nasolabial folds and they told me that injecting in the area of the fold is and ''old way'' and what they do is injecting near the cheek bone to ''lift'' the skin causing the fold. I gotta say, the result is not that amazing and I think they used too much filler on each cheek bone (1ml each). I'd love to hear your opinion on treating nasolabial folds with injecting near the fold as in this video vs near the cheek bone. Doing an educated choice is important for patients and I'd love to know how to go about this next time I want filler.

    Im a DIY, last week i did my Nasolanial area and since i have that deep crate you described right by the nose i wasn't happy with the results, today I followed your technique coming from above and pulling on the nose and it worked! The results are amazing!!!!
    Thank you and can't wait for your patrion/ seminar idea to come to life.

      Hi. Do you use one syringe for both sides? What do you mean by “coming from above”?

      @@jkvpgmail286 it depends on how much volume is lost, i inject like he shows in the video, where my needle end is facing my mouth.

      oooh Ive just started @Tali M, and I love Dan's channel - so super informative. It's a bit cheeky to ask here, but do you have any tips/things you wished you knew earlier??

      @@molliewongful yes! I use lidocaine 2% injected to help so i don't feel nothing , aspiration is important and not going to shallow.
