- Hi guys! Welcome back to my channel. If you’re new here, my name’s Rachel and I love Eurovision. In today’s video, I reacted for the first time to Albania’s entry for the 2022 contest, which was selected through Festival i Kenges.
For copyright reasons, the video cuts, apologies in advance.
‘Sekret’ by Ronela Hajati is quite possibly Albania’s best entry in the last decade to be selected for Eurovision. It’s upbeat, incredibly catchy and filled with Albanian musical identity, including ethnic rhythms, and a wonderful oboe-like instrument providing a counter-melody. ‘Sekret’ is also unique in the way that it brings both Albanian and English languages together to create an interesting tribal element to the song.
Overall Score: 8/10

After further reading, I discovered that Ronela actually composed the song as well, which is just amazing! I love to see artists have creative input into their entries for ESC!
Just imagine if Albania wins Eurovision 2022 and they invite all worldwild known singers such as : Dua Lipa,Rita Ora,Ava Max,Bebe Rexha, Gashi, Action Bronson,Dj Regard.
The presenter of eurosong contest to be : Jim Belushi ,Eliza Dushku and other well known albanian .
Albania singers have presented Cyprus /Eleni and took the 2 place ,Italy with Ermal Meta 5th place and Swizerland last year Jon Tears took second place.
The participated first at eurovision songcontest 2004 and took 7place .
Than in 2012 with Rona Neshliu -Sus the positioned in 5th place.
We need Tirana 2022!
They deserve to get a win for such mega talents they are bringing to world in music industry and cinematography

I liked that entry very much, Top 10 I can imagine easily, without knowing the others countries.
As you are a Italian fan how about reacting to Italy Sanremo winner in 2001, Elisa. She took part with the song "Luce" in 2001 and has also recently published the song "Seta". She is also taking part in 2022 and according to the bookmakers she is the favorite to win Sanremo and thus go to Eurovision this year if she takes her right. The song is not known yet as in Sanremo they sing their songs for the first time.

Ronela is a good singer, she does give it all,
I did like the beginning of the song , but after it didn't give me any pleasure with the deep voice . Perhaps we all have a different taste , but I think she need to have a good revamp, were Balkan flavour and pop are mixed in harmony
I love how the start tricks people into thinking it’s gonna be an emotional piece and then it turns into a sex anthem.

I tend to prefer to wait for Albania to release the final version before giving a final opinion. Still, this is really different, so I look forward to hearing more of Albania's prep for the contest. This is also a great first impression, and I hope they don't do much to change it.

Its an Albanian urban legend. She was a princess named Vjosa, (after the river also shown in the clip), living on that same castle. They killed her husband and she turned into a ‘dragon’ cursed the men and killed herself to reunite with him again.
