The Red Bull Straight Rhythm is set to be an exciting event and Motocross Action was on hand on Friday to capture Ken Roczen, Cooper Webb, Aaron Plessinger, Justin Barcia, Josh Hansen, Justin Hill and more conquer the gnarly straight-line Supercross track. Ken Roczen is riding a Yamaha YZ250 this weekend, but he still hasn't figured out what his 2023 Supercross and motocross racing plans are. Either way, we're excited to watch the head-to-head battles between him and the lineup of talented riders at this race.

Roczen looking Zen on the TwoFittie, and hitting the big jump early on. Money is on Ken. He won't get tired 3/4 of the way through the race and speed is never an issue. Marvin will be hard to beat but.

That sound always brings joy to my heart! I’m glad I was able to ride 2 strokes when I was younger. I’m too broke up to ride them anymore. You definitely have to be on top of your game to successfully pilot one of these glorious creations. While I admire the technical ingenuity of the newer 4 strokes, the 2 stroke sounds, smells & feels better to ride. I can still remember the first time I hit the powerband on one. I was hooked right away! It definitely takes more skill & endurance to ride one. It’s like jumping on the back of some wild animal.
I was racing 2 strokes in 1972, and have ridden them ever since. Still can jump on one and have a great time.
I ride bicycles a lot to keep everything working, 3 or 4 surgeries in 2015. All good,
I want a 150 XCW pretty bad.

KR looks so much better on the Yamaha... I vote give him a star racing 2 smoker for at least a few rounds of 23 sx season and just let him go wild. Everyone would love!
Since over 30 years i am in this Sport as a Amateur Racer and i think , i can Drive around the track, but this is so much different, the best in the world , running lean 2 strokes.....amazing for Lifetime.....

@@cropolo2573 Glen Hellen had a super cross table top when I rode there. Super short but tall and steep. 3 dudes with broken collarbone. Everyone was clipping it and getting tossed.

@@uniquewhite1836 they had no choice. The bathrooms are under that table top. It was the only place they could use to lay out the track.
people wanted more 2 strokes and Red Bull listened. 2 strokes only was the best thing they could do for everyone
Yeah that table reminds me of the sketchy over undertable they used back in the 90s -2000 sx tracks..not even the over/under finish line wich was gnarly but they also had like a random scaffold table they used every now and then that had to have been like 40-50ft. What's so sketchy feeling to the riders is the landing is shorter in proportion to all the other jumps on the track. The lips are usually twice as long as they are high and the landings anywhere from 3-4 time as long as they where high..so the landing is not only steep and short..but the lip is also steep and short usually. It looks like this one is actually drawn out a little longer from the bottom. But with 1:1 jumps the transition is all at the bottom of the ramps and the take off is aqwardly flat! Just an all around mind fuck for allot of riders. And outright technical! Definitely a separater obstacle!

Sounds so good! attracting big riders too. Maybe one day we will see new green, yellow and red ones out there? I'm sure they are starting to take note of the money ktm has been making with their dominance in the market.

I think Kenny has the edge over everyone from what I see watching this. But Hill is looking super solid. So is Barcia..I think it will come down to those three. Sucks to say it looks like everyone else is either riding stiff or over doing it with reving in the transitions. Like like they are winding up for something but end up just bobbin up and down all the way down. Who knows. Curious to see who can put the limited bike time together and pull it all together on raceday! I got so many dirt bike sounds in my head that I can't even translate in text from or hashtags. #fyeah #2strokes!

I like the sound when they fall off the pipe just as much, if not more then when they are on the pipe.
Love the sound course isn’t the best but it’s better than no event at all plus whith new hectic schedule of sx/mx/wsx/new contracts it makes sense that this race was put on the back burner just a tad

There's not many retro 2 strokes this year, only 2 suzuki rm125's and one Kx250 and no 500 class! It'll still be an amazing event! I hope AJ is able to get his bike to run properly! (AJ has a cr frame but ktm engine so it doesn't count
Only the Kawasaki 3stage kips can really be competitive to the ktm/husky teams yz is good but it’s not as smooth as the newer 2strokes

Is it just me or do those KTMs seem like a handful in the whoops? Tough to judge too much since Ken was the only non euro bike.
Most of the KTM guys have never been good whoop riders so there wasn't a good gauge. I know that Reed put suspension in his 4 stroke from about 8 years ago so it says something about what KTM might be lacking.

If you watch on the backside of those little step downs there's like a 2-3 foot vertical drop so if they roll it completely they'll have some trouble.
