Agreed, the car is awesome and so is the manual, making it that much better. Also, the manuals typically account for close to 50 percent in high performance driver's cars like the CT5-V BW. This was the case for the C7 Vettes as well. - AL
Good question. We've discussed this reason quite a bit. Per my interview with Corvette Chief Engineer Tadge Juechter back in 2020, there was no readily available manual to use in the mid-engine layout. GM would have had to develop a new manual from scratch for the C8, rather than using an off-the-shelf TREMEC manuals used (with some customizations) in C7, Camaro, and Blackwings. Hence, a manual in the C8 was cost prohibitive. - Alex Luft
