T-Pain has openly admitted he regrets that he only used auto tune as his career kicked off. He’s fully aware he has an amazing voice. He does other covers/non-autotune songs and it’s so obvious his voice is insane. All love Sebs 🤙🏻❤️
In his 1st album he barely used autotune, just that people couldn't tell the difference

I was introduced to his amazing voice when he won The Masked Singer. I was floored at how great his voice actually is. I'm really glad that this is getting out there and people are realizing just how great his natural voice sounds.

He shocked a lot of people on the masked singer. Not many people realized he had that in him. He was the one-eyed monster on season 1 which might be fun for you to check out. And it really gave his career a bit of a jump start, which he deserved in my opinion. That said, I still prefer Chris Stapleton version of this song.
I was one of the videographers for the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders 14 years ago when T-Pain did a version of the Dolphins fight song. We were at the unveiling of the Cheerleaders calendar at the Versace Mansion when I was told T-Pain was showing up to perform his new version. The cheerleaders were excited but I had no idea who this guy was. He proceeded to do the song for the private audience and it was not well received! Autotune and all, it was bad. BUT, this guy has an amazing voice that I've never heard without autotune. Thanks for sharing.

T-Pain can sing his ass off. I’ve known this for a very long time. I liked his autotune stuff 😊 It was catchy at the time, but this man’s voice is a well hidden secret. Too bad he didn’t flex his vocal skills upfront so everyone would know how talented he really is. Glad he’s showing this side of his persona more these days.❤

If you ever wondered if T-Pain needs auto-tune, just search his run on The Masked Singer. He won his season, and he didn't use auto-tune once. He's absolutely AMAZING!!!

'Auto-tune needs him' is actually such an accurate statement. Tpain didn't need to but literally only used it because he thought it sounded cool. He changed the game back then and the AutoTune developers have been making bank ever since. And the reason nobody has come close to doing what Tpain did, is because 99% of the artists that use it in that style, can't sing, or ath the very least can't sing as well as T-Pain can. One of the most underrated singers of our generation

T-Pain, opened my eyes, once he was on The Masked Singer as "The Monster".... I regularly go and watch the highlights... Hearing him sing, instead of Rapping... A 100% better, just my opinion.. Definitely could be a reaction
Autotune needed him is ABSOLUTELY correct. He was an absolute master of using it as a tool, just like compression or sidechaining or any other element of digital postproduction.

Tennessee Whiskey was first recorded by David Allen Cole in 1981! George Jones recorded it after Stapleton! It's not Chris Stapletons song by any means.
George Jones was the second to record it in 1983…then Chris Stapleton 😊
@@amykeeling6808 Yes I am aware of this. David Allen Cole hit #77 on the charts, George Jones hit #2 on the charts. Chris Stapleton brought it to a whole different level! But the song was David Allen Coles song!
David Allen Coe, not Cole, was the first to record it but the song was actually written by Dean Dillon and Linda Hargrove.

Go to the god Tommy Johansson's YT channel. He sings like a god, plays over 10 instruments, covers the channel, played guitar in Sabaton until recently, has his own band Majestica. In and enjoy, releasing a cover every Friday. PEACE

You do know that Tennessee Whiskey by Chris S was not an original. It was recorded by David Allan Coe and George Jones long before Chris covered it

T-PAIN DID NOT COVER CHRIS STAPPLETON! Chris Stapleton is not the original singer of Tennessee whiskey!
I would have loved this song if only T Pain hadn't felt the need to add the word "s__t" unnecessarily in the verse that he made up. The song would have been much more appealing without it. His voice was fabulous.
