As a Patriots fan, it doesn't really bother me that we're not good. We had 20 years of domination. Multiple Super Bowl wins, going to a SB practically every other year, being in the AFC championship game more than a dozen times and winning a good majority of them, being the AFC East champion almost every year except for a handful of times and hardly missing the playoffs. We had an amazing run. So I'm not upset. A bit disappointed? Yes, a little. I would be happy if they did better but it is what it is. I'm ok with being at the bottom for a little while. Have other teams enjoy a bit of success and glory.

My analysis of the Jags as the fan of this team, the pieces and answers are there on offense. There are things they are trying fundamentally that have worked when presented against opposing defenses. Just these two dudes, Doug Pedersen and Press Taylor refuse to ever build off ANYTHING. That what you to mention on situational play calling, but even situational fundamentals like personnel they cant even take advantage whether it be the redzone or 4th down in their own territory. The nuances of this staff is non-existent in the highest, toughest stretches of these games and its a must to have to clinch these games and make it further.

The problem Howell had in Washington was that he really wasn't getting much help for his point in his development. They threw a ridiculous amount, which put a lot on his plate, and the defense was just plain awful. He just didn't have the time to develop enough to overcome the bad situation he was in. For all the talent Levis has, I certainly saw some of this in his college tape, which is why I questioned if he could be a franchise QB. The NFL seems to have some of the same questions.

the browns have the worst case of post 2013 blackhawks disease i’ve ever seen in my life. it’s astonishing really. (context: after their dynasty, the chiacgo blackhawks had like 4 guys take up most of their payroll, meaning that literally every single move that their gm made had to be a roaring success. they weren’t, and the team slowly got worse until they ended up with the number 1 draft pick 2 years ago)

  • @IV-fad

Thanks for starting with my awful Cowboys.
The writing was on the wall coming into the season that they would be trash. I gave up on them as soon as Dak was signed to his awful contract. He couldn't get it done with far better teams around him and now you can't put a great team around him now with his and Lamb's contracts.
I wanted to trade Micah even before those two awful contracts were signed. He doesn't stop the run, he doesn't read plays well and rushers that rely on elite athleticism don't sustain success as they age. He's also a bad leader and selfish. Trade him while you can get two firsts (hopefully).
Problem is Jerry is a horrible GM and holds himself to 0 standards or accountability. His post game comments showed his arrogance and his comments on the radio show that he's a pretty despicable person as well. He's incompetent as GM and doesn't have the smarts nor guts to trade a star player. The Cowboys won't win shit with him around.

I like how they said "should have only 1 win." They *tried* to give the game away to the Steelers. Even though Pickens is acting like a child & dropping passes someone reminded me of the Real Reason the Steelers lost: Arthur Smith Hates Fantasy.
That's why they're starting Russ this week. Fields committed the crime of scoring more than 20 points. This just adds to ,y growing list of How Unlucky he is. Lets' begin.
He gets to the Bears & Nagy A) doesn't allow him to practice with the starting receivers before starting him, asks him to change All His Mechanics to resemble those of Aaron Rodgers (because he's the best QB) without asking to see what Fields can do & then there was the INTs. I just learned that _twice_ his coaches shouted at him to snap & throw the ball, the other team had 12 men on the field, FREE PLAY! They were wrong both times & each time it led to an INT.
As did Fields' own receiving corps ruclips.net/video/glpaya0xz-4/видео.html. It's quite possible that outside of those two plays where his coaches rushed his to throw INTs he didn't throw a Single TO-worthy pass.
But he got 10 INTs.. That was only 12 games in year 1.
Then there was Matt Eberflus. Where to begin?
He was filmed sabotaging Justin Fields multiple times. You think the botched hug between Saleh & Rodgers was something? 1) Fields once went to shake 'Flus' hand after scoring a TD. 'Flus saw the hand, looked at Fields, held his eyes for a second.
Then he coldly turned away without a word. I don't think I can properly communicate just how immense this was.
It's as if he kneed Fields in the gut or nuts, pantsed him while he squirmed in pain then asked the whole team to laugh at him while he was on the ground. Because he did this in front of the ENTIRE TEAM! & in that moment everyone should have known the sabotage was on.
      2) 'Flus boasted that He Decides what plays to limit the offense to.
      3) Week 4 or 5 Fields "suddenly Developed" a tendency to stop himself throwing to Wide Open receivers. If ANY QB suddenly starts this the team should take him into protocol. When the Bears didn't do that & Fields continued doing this, reporters realized that the Bears knew he wasn't concussed without checking. Ergo, Fields was executing the plays As Called.
Reporters realized that Eberflus was "asking" (because when your coach "asks you" to do A, what choice do you have?) Fields to Not Throw to certain receivers on certain plays. This is where fans evolved the "he holds onto the ball too long" meme as if this had Always Been Happening.
      4) Fields finally called this out publicly after week 6.
      5) The Bears changed their entire playbook over the next 4 weeks then switched back, proving with both actions that yes, play-calling was 100% responsible for their woes. Because they averaged 31 points a game under the new plays.
      6) Then they Voluntarily Switched Back to calling plays they knew produced under 20 a game. This alone would have gotten ANY HC fired. (If you take the POV that the OC did all this, then the HC is a moron for not noticing).
So by no later than week 5 of '22 Eberflus revealed that he had No Intention to make things work with Fields & set about sabotaging Fields' career.
Now the Steelers are treating him like a mentally challenged idjit who would fall into a live volcano if they didn't giver him 35 don'ts for every do. & the kicker? Brett Himself thinks this about him too when Brett Himself did a video about how Fields actually reads defenses at an Elevated Level! This is what social media memes do to a person, make you doubt reality!
I dunno how Brett missed what Eberflus was doing _OR_ its effects, but he did. Yeah, Fields is living down to these media memes _NOW._ But when your Own HC sets out to sabotage you *for over a year* it's going to have effects & ruin your confidence.

The Cowboys have the same problem they had last year, they can't beat good teams, they only beat one playoff team last season. The Eagles are probably the worst team they play in the next five ( 9ers, Falcons, Eagles, Texans, Commanders ), so could be 4-7 at that point, then maybe get to .500 after the the Giant, Bengals, and Panthers. Then they have to finish Bucs, Eagles, Commanders. I think they are an 8 win team.

@@thebiggestcarl what I'm saying is the fact teams want to be there, but we can't produce us more incompetent than not producing without talent, but then again I'm biased as a fan so maybe I'm just disappointed by them

Colts fan here, I am glad that the Texans are good and I hope we can get our stuff on track and match them so we have a fun divisional rivalry. Considering the other half of the division, we gotta be the steel to sharpen each other lol
Besides, we must not forget our mandate. We may be AFC South rivals, but we have to remember that our primary responsibility to the league is to make sure the Chiefs don’t win again. So I will gladly wear the Stroud jersey if that is what it takes.
