Had my dog neutered...a big mistake ...it's made him lose his confidence with my female and on a whole ...and made him aggressive with other dogs which he never was before, I listened to just the reasons why we should have them neutered now I have experience myself I would never even consider it ever again unless it was for serious health reasons .
Gordon my grampa was a veterinarian he always said don't neuter dogs horses! So we didn't and my blue Merrill Aussie wouldn't leave the yard for a dog in heat! The dogs eventually mated the pups half Aussie half English sheepdog were odd looking! Not neutering was never a problem so I wouldn't neuter! My cat sprays all over after hissing at his rival! But I've found the perfect odor product! My dog was good with his pups! My cat is terrible with kittens! My cat hates males!
I so agree Gordon I had my last male done it did not change him one bit .I felt so awful having him going threw all that for nothing .I did not want him done it was years ago and in my area they wanted all bull breeds neutered and spayed I had two Staffordshire bull terriers I had no intention of breeding .I got my them both done .my girl was never away from.the vets with urine infections. I'm not getting my boy done he loves sniffing and both my other dogs became obese when they got older. And both had joint issues and cancer . I'm.leaving my boy hes such a good sweet boy hes so.silly and we have so much fun 😘
@@jessicaharrison1401 thanks for your comment in agreement & for sharing what happened to your fur babies, both my dogs are blue SBT and my boy is now 8years old and has arthritis and his weight last year got to 30kg ..his depression I believe was also because of having him neutered, that's why I got my girl & she lifted his spirit and with a change in diet he's now happier & weighs between 19-20kg, the vets keep on getting at me to get my girl spayed even when she was only 7months old she's 17mnth old now and because of all the negative issues I've had with getting my boy neutered I think I would rather put up with her heat cycles every 6-7mths rather than risk spaying her, problem is she has had one phantom pregnancy already
I have had male dogs only, I have always had them neutered and have found that this does help them in a lot of areas. I love my babies because they’re energetics, but not overly energetics. I watch the breeds I want and match them to my lifestyle which helps immensely.
@@gloriaformato3621 it's so nice if u have the option of matching breeds to fit ur lifestyle! My last 3 boys were complete surprises! My fur baby has a vasectomy he still is territorial! My veterinarian grandpa said don't neuter dogs so we didn't and my late dog wouldn't leave the yard for one in heat! I don't think my current boy would stay put for one in heat he'd be out there toming around!
My biggest surprise was weight gain. I mean, I know that neutered dogs do gain weight more easily than non-neutered dogs. I’ve really only ever seen more overweight spayed female dogs. Great info!
My grandpa a veternarian said dont neuter dogs horses so we didnt! My aussie wouldnt leave the yard for a dog in heat! If dogs well trained they wont wander for a dog in heat! Oddly way back when european vets were less likely to neuter male dogs than american vets were! Im talking 100 years ago wonder if this has changed?
I don't know about this all the health related stuff the neutering and stuff like that it's all true my boy must be unusual he a neutered male Pitbull he mastered all of his basics training in one week he has one bad habit he doesn't like male dogs but that could be due to his breed now I have two other dogs they are females my mix breed female nose all the basics and she can do them in sign language my other female it took her an entire month to learn four of the basics training and she's not very good at it she likes to take off she is spayed but keeping her in the yards difficult

Well, yeah - You're only thinking of yourself.

My childhood friend Courtney has a male Australian Shepherd
Named River and also he is a blue merle Australian Shepherd
Love my male cocker spaniel. Smartest dog I’ve ever owned.
I have only had female dogs, and male cats. After watching this maybe I should consider a male dog next.
very responsible citations I love to see it
Always had males
My Dad's friend Linda has a male Corgi mix
Had a female sheltie_ border collie! With small kids think females are gentler than males are!
My half brother Ben and his family have a male German Shepherd
My friend Angela she has a male
Siberian husky
I was able to potty train my male puppy , in a week. 😂
