  • Welcome back to my channel! I'm Ben Carano, and today I'm working on restoring an historic log cabin for a friend of mine! We have done a lot of work to the cabin. I will work on terraforming around the cabin for water drainage!

    Restoration is fun! I've been laboring for a mason here in MN fixing old chimneys and fireplaces. Not a lot of people do repairs like this. They always want to demo and build new

      Definitely!! And for things like an old building that is historic We are required to keep it original and restore it rather than tearing it down. It’s a sweet feeling to see them and use again

      @@BenCarano that's why I'm apprenticing under him. Him and his dad do restorations on old historical buildings like forts and such from the late 1700s and 1800s. Not a lot of people left that know the old ways.

    Don't you needed direct the drainage away from the front of the house?

      yep, it all goes to the back to a dry well. This was kinda only a part 1 and I never continued, but good question!
