- In this video, we show information on Hiwin's Linear Guideways. Linear guideways provides linear motion by re-circulating rolling elements between a profiled rail and a bearing block. The coefficient of friction on a linear guideway is only 1/50 compared to a traditional slide and they are able to take loads in all directions. With these features, a linear guideway can achieve high precision and greatly enhanced moving accuracy. Hiwin Corporation offers multiple linear guideway series, each featuring different options for sizes, loading capabilities, accuracies, and more.

The HIWIN company that increased the size of the market based on the Chinese market is amazing. It is a disadvantage that specialized products are lacking, but I think they have improved a lot.

This is the great product instead of using normal runners ,specially for base mounting . very smooth moving. I have used for ROLEX project in The Dubai mall

I called distributors of HIWIN in Mexico for a ballscrew quotation. None of them have stock, they only had rolled ball screws (that would be like C7 accuracy?) but I was requiring C3 accuracy which must be CNC machined. So, nobody of them was able to provide me any item immediately (within days) so I ordered from a factory in China (using Alibaba). The accuracy standards are the same for everyone, steel alloys are the same for everyone so it doesn't matter what brand do you buy (as long as your micrometer is Mitutoyo). That's my story of attempting to use HIWIN. I don't know if I lost something or not, but I am happy with my current machines. The guides and ballscrews are not HIWIN.
Thank you for your comment. As you have noted, ground ballscrews are typically used in OEM applications where highest accuracy is required. HIWIN does not stock replacement parts for OEM machines, because the configuration is proprietary. Users should buy replacement parts from the machine manufacturer. In the future, if you are having trouble reaching an OEM for replacement HIWIN parts in the USA, we may be able to help.
Hi. I just got some HGH20CA linear rails and blocks. What is the bolt size recommended for tightening the rails? The drawing says M6, but the rail's dimension "D" for the diameter of the hole for the head of the bolt is diameter 9.5mm. The problem I'm finding is that M6 SHCS bolts seem to have a 10mm diameter head. On a forum one user recommended grinding down bolt head diameters to fit, another recommended just using M5 bolts instead. One of my 1/4-20 bolts fits but another 1/4-20 doesn't fit (threads are larger). Anyway, what bolt size do you recommend? I bought 2 rail ball screw kits, and may end up with 8 kits for my current project. it will need almost 500 bolts, so, I don't really want to grind them all down... Thanks in advance.

Lubrication grease or oil ? Which one suitable?
Thank you for your question. Depending on the application and environment, grease or oil may be suitable. If a central lubrication system is being utilized, the lubricant vendor should advise the suitability of their oil for the motion control application of HIWIN linear guideways. HIWIN sells seven types of grease to suit a variety of application and environmental conditions, as well as grease guns and a nozzle adapter kit. @@hiwin-usa we are the cnc router wood carving machines manufacturer. We used only HIWIN 20raios and blocks but my question how to find out which is the original ? Because some time we import china and some time we buy at local in India, both are not same...
Compare to purchased in India china product very smooth and long life...
