Your video title is my "theme" Getting in the Miles. I'm running a 10k trail race on the 30th, and since school started, I no longer train. I drive a bus both morning and afternoon, teach history, and also coaches soccer and wrestling. At the end of the day, I just want to get in a few miles. With the Sun setting at 5ish, it's dark and cold when I finally get to exercise.
Nice and, as always, charming presentation on a suddenly all-too-relevant subject. I especially liked your demonstration of some easy warm-ups. Personally, I always wear a hat with a brim. Rain, snow, or sleet bothers me far less if it isn't in my face. When it gets cold I wear a light jacket that I usually take off once I have warmed up and tie around my waist. Every jacket and coat that I own has a pair of gloves in its pockets because my hands are the first thing that complains about the cold. My wife convinced me to buy a running vest, and I do appreciate it on the coldest runs.
I've never done any serious running on a treadmill, but perhaps I should give it a try. The past few weeks it has not been cold, but it has been quite wet and some of the roads were covered in leaves. Perhaps I was just imagining things, but I did not feel confident to go through bends at full speed in my fast trainers (Brooks Hyperion Max 2, which I otherwise love), or to do short max effort hill sprints (which of course I would not do on the treadmill either).
Absolutely running in the wet with slippery leaves is just the same!! Got to be cautious and the treadmill is a great option 😍💪🏼means you can get the hard work in without worrying about falling over! 😂
Keep up the good work Hannah.
Excellent content Hannah!
Thanks for the good advice Hannah 👍 its always handy to have a treadmill this time of the year, i use one a lot, take care 🙂
