You could actually totally avoid butterflies in the prairie, just don’t activate the last cutscene. The butterflies are only necessary if your wings are upgraded enough.

Those butterflies are worse than krill, Krill are big dum dum shrimp that can be dodged or escaped, Butterflies chase you to the ends of the earth to get to you
